Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga

Part 26: Planting bombs.

Update 26:

Well, yeah she surely can handle Bat all by herself right? There is absolutely no need for backup. No sirree bob.But hey, whatever, let's get this over with.

Cielo is currently level 32, which is not bad, and leanring a high level physical mantra. That is good.

He also has a bunch of high level magic. His physical skills also leave some space for low level mantras so developing him won't be horribly painfuil or take huge breaks until 100k is not such a bad limit. Unlike the rest of the party.

It is still raining outside.

And this is going to be very annoying in a while.

I must say, Serph looks very silly when running against a wall.

If one tries to deviate from the path, Gale pops in and says this. He is kind of annoying, you know.

Most of this area is in this kind of environment. It gets old kind of fast.

Damn you, Gale!

"Employees only beyond this point."

He doesn't even allow Serph to take a breather. Fresh air is needed!

"Let us plant the explosive here."

"One explosive is needed per floor, for a total of seven.
Expedience is required for this mission. Let us hurry."

Wait what, this is not Silent Hill!
Besides, they could easily rip it apart in their Asura form. Let us assume, for the sake of entertainment, that Cielo or Serph tried and that Gale stopped them with something like this.

"Stop. That action is not required for this mission, and furthermore, it is only delaying use and preventing a more efficient use of our time. We must find the appropriate places for the explosives, and we have already planted a explosive charge in this floor. Let us proceed."

Or something like that.

At this point, enemies have started to appear as well.

Nagas go down. Down Cielo's throat, that is.

"Maragion
Fire Drain"

In the bottom of the ship, there is this.
This is very useful, unfortunately, there are only two in the game. Both have been seen already. I did not mention it before, but there is a hexagon that goes all along the outer rim of the rejuvenating light. The game sure likes hexes.

Nagas.
NAGAS.

And gross green poisonous gas phantoms. Both easily dealt with at this point.

Again, this is a very broken skillset. But that's what I get for using a newgameplus. Yes.

Isoras are Shinto gods.
See?
They are fairly annoying, but not such a big problem. Not for me at least.

"Mazanma
Force Drain"

Gale can still learn affordable mantras.

Serph can get a useless one. And expensive one.

"After we plant an explosive on each floor, we will join Argilla in the hall."

Not even a breather.

"We cannot return via the same elevator we arrived in. Use the door to the right, instead.
You, Leader, are the bait.
move quickly from place to place, and draw our opponents inside."

Kind of an expensive bait, eh?
If he falls down, all of the Embryon's efforts would have been for naught.

I Hate Chatterskulls.

These are also abundant, which is good.

Balancing it out. Except for Luck. Luck is very important as I've already said before. I like luck.

Cielo likes being fast.

Wasn't it seven? OH WELL, whatever.

That is destined to go boom.

Aaaand an ambush.

"The Silver Fox is on the move: port side, toward the bow. Call for backup!"

"We cannot allow them to believe our leader is worth so few of their soldiers.
Destroy them so we may continue."

And so they become THIS.

I have no idea. Neither does Wikipedia. Neither does Megaten Wiki.

They are eaten.

"Mabufula
Ice Drain"

Going down a bit more, and this happens. Again.

Goddamn Omoikanes.

Damn them!
Need stronger bullets.

They are kind of ugly, ain't them?

Gale gets ANOTHER mantra.

This is getting kind of boring.

FLUFFY SHEEP
No information on either megaten wiki or Wikipedia.

"Mutual Karma"

"Sakura Rage
Life Gain
Phys Resist
MAX Critical"

At least he is getting Mantras.

And after this, there is a cutscene. One that will be seen in the next update.
If that update is not tomorrow, it shall be in about one week, since I am going on a trip to Ixtapa.
