Part 45: More ascent

Update 45:

Okay, we've seen it. Sera has become a non-ally (at least for the moment), trying to hinder Serph and company's advancement through the massively tall tower structure.
How? By turning the tower into a (relatively benign) TELEPORTY GODDAMN FUCKING DUNGEON. Goddamnit.
There is a nice little Blue thingamabob there.
How can it be acquired?

Well, going through this one is no good, this one goes to the right, the blue thingie is on the left. That's no good.

This one goes to the left, and BEYOND the first teleporty thing. That is also good. Let us advance through this one.

Then the second teleporty thing on this path. Since there is no other way to go to the eastern fork's last area, this one must be it.

Hooray and Eureka. It worked.

But unfortunately, the only way to get away from here is to go DOWN.

Oh hey look it is Ganesha and its evil Twin.
They all eat DEATH FLIES.

This has only begun and it is already bothering me.

Grrr.

Fortunately, this one is easily dealt with.

And voila! The first part is SOLVED.

Kind of liberal with the Small Terminal locations. Only one room or so away from the previous one.

Oh boy! Another elevator!

Sometimes, when the attack is reflected (like with Serph's Reflect Element), both enemies will become afraid.
Last Meal, and the other "instant death" Hunt skills are guaranteed kills when the enemies are afraid.
Oh yes.

And with Iron Stomach, not even Ganesha and Girimehkahla's combined girth can make Serph get a tummyache.
His stomach is INVINCIBLE.

"Materadyne
Earth Resist"

If this seems like it is repeated, it is because it IS repeated.
I forgot to overwrite the previous save. Grrr.

Gate of Hell can give the Stone affliction to enemies. Which is good, you know.
Phys Drain is self explanatory, but in this case it is a castable one, not a passive skill.
High Counter is, well, a counter skill. Could be useful, but eh, whatever.

And here, the music changes as well. It gets GUITARS.

Oh goddamnit, Sera.
Teleporty and with no alternate paths.
That means, TELEPORTY EXPLORATION.

"Materadyne
Earth Resist"

Hooray level up.
No more Magic spending at all anymore.

Cielo's build becomes pretty much laughable.

This is still useful (for Cielo and Gale)

You don't know how happy I am that there are teleporty points all over the place. Truly, my joy knows no bounds.

How much does it fill me with gladness and gaiety to see that there are a myriad such locations that suddenly make you change your position and force you to explore in another region before you finish the current location you are in.
Or if not, it makes you explore a place all full of dead ends in order to find that particular special place that will whisk you away to a new and possibly exciting locale, away from the current one.

Argilla has turned into Heat.

Gale gets the same one.

Oh come on, Heat, give Luck some love.

Same for you, Gale. You luckless bastards.

That'll come in handy.
I want to get Monotheist, eventually.

Truly, this is the life.

No greater excitement in this game than traversing a good ol' teleport dungeon.

"Ice Resist"

Ah, walls.

No need for a Field Hunt at the moment, though.

Truly, one is blessed when one traverses a dungeon such as this one.

Have I mentioned how much I love this?

Oh hey, an Omoikane arrived!

Damn great loot.

Oh yeah.

AT LAST.

Some elevator, Eh?

Ooh fuckdamnit, ghost walls. GHOST WALLS.

"Megidola
Mind Charge
Magic Repel"

Fortunately this one is easily dealt with.

And with that is all I can stand at the moment of a goddamn teleporty dungeon.
And for a pure dungeon crawling update, this is quite long as it is, don't you think?
