Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne

by Luisfe

Part 63

Update 60: The Obelisk sinks.
Time to go to the Amala Temple.

So, the Manikins that climb it are fucked?

Time to go inside.
Inside, Insert's Destiny is revealed.

Figures.

Time to go to the Obelisk. Or what's left of it anyway.

Notice that it has changed quite a bit.

OH NO WHERE IS INSERT?

Behind the tower, of course, there is something that must be acquired here.

Back to the deepest basement, where the treasures are.
Very sturdy architecture, eh? It is intact!

This is what I wanted.

Very very useful.

Time to go in.

"The only place in Tokyo that is conected to Kagutsuchi. Everyone went upstairs..."

Time to go up.

This is where Yuko was absorbing Magatsuhi. Seems like a long time ago, eh?

Yes.

Kagutsuchi tries to read Insert's heart.

Since Insert follows no Reason, no.

The tower is entered.

MANIKINS?

"We've always been looking up. We've aalways wondered about Kagutsuchi."

"The final battle for Creation is about to begin. With Futomimi gone, it doesn't matter to us which Reason wins"
Awww

The only good answer.

Indeed.

Awww.

"Noah is incredible! We don't need to join together, like those other Reasons. We'll soon be able to create a world where we won't have to associate with anyone."
Damn asocial bastards

Let's see what Wikipedia says about them.

Wikipedia posted:

The Thrones (lat. thronus, pl. throni) are a class of celestial beings mentioned by Paul of Tarsus in Colossians 1:16 (New Testament) and related to the throne of God the Father. They are living symbols of God's justice and authority. According to the New Testament, these high celestial beings are among those Orders at the Christ's service.[1] [2] The Thrones are mentioned again in Revelation 11:16.

The corresponding order of angels in Judaism is called the "abalim" or "arelim"/"erelim".[3] The Ophanim (Wheels or Galgallin) is a different class of higher liberated celestial beings, under many Christian angelic hierarchies, that are also know as the "Thrones", from Daniel 7:9 (Old Testament). They are the carriers of the throne of God, hence the name. They are said to be great wheels covered in eyes.

They sound creepier.

"I hear it's a very long path, though... Well, you won't be able to do it, so don't talk to me."
It is long, but not too damn freaking long. It also has 3 Terminals (not S-Terminals, proper terminals) to make things easier. IT DOES have some horribly annoying parts, and horrid boss fights, though.

"Nothing would really change, I'm doing what I want now, anyway. But it would be nice if those annoying groups like Shijima and Yosuga dissapeared."
[b]I have to agree with the last statement.

Wasn't this guy a boss a little while ago?

Slacker.

Ah, Incense, I love it.

"Infiltrator of our Stillness, begone!"

"We had a lot of fun thanks to a certain 'somebody', but all is well. We have our god, Ahriman, to lead us to stillness."
Boooooring

"Oh, please, excuse my behavior. I became quite emotional, contrary to the beliefs of Shijima."
Bah. Shijima is crap anyways.

"Guess the path to Kagutsuchi isn't going to be an easy one, after all."

Delicious, delicious incense.

"She's not only noble, she's sharp!"
She is neither noble, nor sharp. She is a complete asshat and a moster, and she is DUMB.

"Those pests..."

"I have no business with inferior beings, such as you."
Pretentious asshole.

"This is discrimination against ex-Mantra demons!"
And against everything else as well. They are assholes.

Yay!

Going up.

Next time: MORE TOWER!
