Part 6

To get Reiko, we have to talk to everyone and then she'll show up. I'll spare you the full torrent of conversation (and my sanity) and just translate some of the dialogue.


Yumi:
Everyone's running around like chickens with their heads cut off!
By the way, it looks like Reiko Akanezawa from 1-B is up to something, but what can that stuck-up little princess do?
She then tries to get you to join again, but I turned her down again.
Yumi:
What are you wasting time for?!
Are you gonna act like a woman NOW of all times?!
We might be losing our chance to escape while we're sitting around talking like this!

Well, there's a choice bit of unexpected misogynism.


Disciplinary Board Member:
You can't go through here.
This is an emergency! You will follow the orders of us disciplinary board members!
By the way, do you know where Akira Miyamoto from 2-C is? He's wandering around the school, up to something...

We go up a nearby staircase.


There's a dimensional rift blocking your way.

Checking out the classrooms some more...


Yawata:
Oh, Tammy!
You're really calm, aren't you? I just don't know what to do anymore...
I just bought a brand new laptop with my bonus, too...
No, now's not the time to be worried about that!
...Oh, I'm the worst teacher in the world! I can't do anything at a time like this! What should I do...?


Boy student:
You're Tammy from 2-D, aren't you?
Figures you'd be so laid-back.
I'm Shinji Kuroi! You can call me Charlie, though.
You trying to escape from the school too? I'm gonna get the hell out of here however I can.
Everyone's just shitting themselves round here and the rest think help's gonna come if they just sit still!
But you don't seem like everyone else. You can help me, then. How about it?

We tell Charlie to get bent, since his hand never seems to leave his crotch and we are a classy lassy, if not slightly sassy.

We then saunter all the way down to the bottom level of the school to continue the talky-talky.


Professor Otsuki:
You mustn't walk out alone! We still don't understand how safe Plasma is for the human body! There is no scientific basis that walking outside by yourself is safe!

Tammy decides to tool up to walk around outside and ignore Otsuki's advice. First, she hits up the baseball club room for two helmets and a baseball bat, and the member in the room tells her "No one who's gone outside has come back. ...It's like the village at the start of a roleplaying game.". This is reassuring, since it confirms that Tammy isn't the biggest idiot in the school. Then she picks up some shoulder pads from the football room, where the club member tells her monsters have appeared in the gym, so everyone's taken all the good weapons. The hockey room yields some padded gloves, and the advice that Hazama is up to something involving demons and magic. Finally, the sumo room yields some rollerblades.
Tammy equips all these items, hoping that no one notices what she's wearing, and explores the school some more.


Goon:
...It's no good! It's disconnected...
I can't get a connection anywhere!
What do you want? Sorry, I don't have time for you now!

Nurse Kayama:
You're Tammy from 2-D. What do you want in the nurse's office?
...I guess now's not the time for that.
I have no idea what's going on here any more. Have you found anything out?
If you get hurt, I'll treat you.

Tammy scores some free healing and healing items!


School President:
Which class are you from?
You mustn't just walk into my office!
Note: the banner in the back says 食-‾, greed.

Tammy then heads into the music room...


Girl student:
You're Tammy from 2-D, aren't you?
What are you doing here?
You're quite relaxed. But now isn't the time to put on a laid-back appearance. We're in another world now! I can't give you a detailed explanation now, I'm in a hurry. Sorry.

The girl runs off and Tammy leaves the room... but then has second thoughts and checks back in.


Girl student:
The girl who was just here?
Oh, if you mean Akanezawa, she left the classroom.

That must have been Reiko. Great. I guess that means we'll just have to hunt her down and drag her off to the Demon World by her hair.
