We're sinking by the bow, which is angling our stern upwards. Throwing it in reverse and blowing the ballast might keep us from descending; it'll make a shitload of noise but they've already got a solution on us. It's also the fanciest option.

We're going to sink like a rock just like the Thresher and you know it. Just this time our stern is up instead of our bow. I mean the XO said that there is fucking water and a fire in the torpedo bay.

Also, anyone out there who doesn't know much about subs, I recommend the book "The Thresher Disaster." It's an older book, but a fantastic one at that. Since the US government is all quiet about the loss of the USS Scorpion, it is the best account of the loss of a US nuclear submarine out there. Lots of what-ifs from the perspective of those inside the sub, but a great read nonetheless. Spoilers: corners got cut and people died!

Oh wait it is over a hundred dollars on Amazon. Jesus Christ. Just grab a used copy for cheap.
