There's already a safety feature to avoid sinking your own sub: it's the command cable.
The other reason this doesn't make sense is that torpedoes, usually, are set to operate with their active sonar: it works like a radar, only it uses sound instead of radio/microwaves. And unlike a radar, there's no way to have an IFF interrogation, so it's bull.
From what I've read (I'm no engineer and not in any navy), torpedoes can operate passively using only their hydrophones (and sub guidance), allowing a captain to execute a sneak attack, but given the speed at which they travel, they need to get pretty damned close before they can pick the target.
In all the situations we've been we would have set the torpedo on active anyway, so the Kilo changing sound would literally have no effect even if the torpedo had some sort of sound analyser and self-activated safety feature, because the only thing it would be able to hear would be its own pinging.
