Part 29: Base

Base


Just like during the other branch, Akim and Sorana level up. I decided to give them the same skills again. Athletic for Akim, and Sniper for Sorana.


I just wanted to include this screen to prove that the background for the garage does indeed change sometimes. I really have no idea what governs it, or how many different vehicles are included, but I saw four or five different backgrounds myself.


Since I don't have much hours in the garage this time, I decided to put all into repairs.

Off to see what Wlad has to offer.

I was really tempted to buy that Mi-8, since the COTUC branch won't hand you a free attack chopper. But after shuffling around my stuff, I saw that I couldn't afford the chopper with proper weapons and ammunition. And buying the chopper with whatever stuff I could grab, would also have prevented me from buying anything else. So I just have to hope that Wlad will either still have it next time, or that he'll have a Hind in stock.


First, I buy an Abrams, and by now we know that it's a good thing to have.

And then I put a lot of my misc stuff on the table for good ammo and bombs.




I could have bought more stuff, but decided to keep some things in storage. See, if Wlad really offers me an attack chopper next time, I'll need a lot of cash to afford it and everything it needs to be cool. The next mission has a tendency to spit out a lot of salvage, which is very welcome, but I just want to buff my wallet as best as I can. Would be a shame if Wlad's next offer is awesome, but my own stock would lack the weight to get it. The last mission in the COTUC branch has a lot of combat, and you really want to bring the best stuff that you can get! I don't want to spoil much about the next mission, but let me say that we'll discover a big surprise, and get to see how a working Undead Knight performs. Spoiler He kills stuff real good!
