Part 59: Epilogue: Endorph

Epilogue: Endorph

Feinne on Soul Nomad:

This is the ending you get with either gender if Endorph has the most points. I'm pretty sure that if Endorph has the most when Euphoria dies the scene changes, which is probably assumed in this ending and makes the chain of events less confusing.

Anyway, these endings are not part of the main story, they're alternate ways it could have turned out. For most or all of them I'm just going to link a video and post the dialog rather than try and clumsily fit them into the story I had going earlier.

The hero has spent the year since the victory over Drazil searching for Endorph, who is alive but missing.

So, we meet again.
How ya been?
It took me an entire year to find you.
Hell, I'm amazed you could find me at all. I tried very hard not to be found.
But... I knew you'd come eventually.

The sound of crying comes from inside.

I don't have much to offer, but my home is your home.

They go inside.

Oh, now there's a face I haven't seen in a while!
But I must say, I'm glad to see you again.
Oh, please excuse the mess. If we'd known you were coming...
We've been living in a disaster zone ever since the baby was born.
Well, you look happy, anyway.
Oh, very much so.
When I found out I was pregnant, it gave me the strength to survive.
This child... it's our hope and joy.

Hehe. Look at him, doesn't he wash up nice? He's stopped all that running around, and he bathes every day now!
But to be honest, I'm starting to get a little antsy.
Wanna take off, find some action? Raise some hell?
What was that, dear?
Hm? Oh... nothing, darling.
I thought not.

Oh, that's a great idea. Yeah, you definitely have to stay.
You haven't lived until you've tried my darling's cooking.
And you'll want to die after you've tried it.
I'm ready... I hope.

Feinne on Soul Nomad:

Okay, so you're probably wondering how the hell Euphoria's still alive. Levin's ending actually explains it pretty well, and I'll just go into it for a second here. Levin and Euphoria could potentially live without Raksha if and only if someone wanted them to enough. Euphoria did nearly die, but she came back from the brink off camera. You could assume that Raksha could tell she was still barely alive and hid her somewhere just in case he needed her for something else. He did carry her off alone, after all, and everyone was sure she was dead. It's the sort of thing that ass would do.

Then again, he ate a burgundy and died, so sucks to be him.

Oh, and here's a little something extra. This is Walnut's theme from Phantom Brave, R&R Junkie. Compare and contrast to Cradle Blues, which plays in his ending and which is Endorph's theme from this game. Oh, and sometime in the near future I should have the arranged soundtrack for this game, and if there's some especially awesome stuff on it I might share some or all of it with you.

Oh, and someone asked what the music that played at the beginning of the epilogue/last part of the ending was. The track is called Love Letters, from the first disk of the soundtrack.
