Obong-Ni Ridge: Turn 8

Our reinforcements are at or nearing the first main road now, so it shouldn't be long before they reach the battle. Units travel unrealistically faster when moving over roads.

Also, the reason I am not transporting the infantry on the Pershings is that the infantry units outnumber the tanks 2 to 1, and they deploy from different edges of the map. As a matter of fact, they have only just gotten close to each other.

Once again, there are a lot of units that need to be unsuppressed. As a matter of fact, just assume that I'm rallying tons of units every turn unless I state otherwise.

Meanwhile, we have support units too! Not only will the mortars and howitzers be (hopefully) keeping enemy heads down to our northern and southern flanks, but our fighter jets are called in to do a vertical strafe down the enemy lines.

I don't think they have any AA weapons whatsoever, although I could be wrong.

And of course, more North Korean mortar and artillery fire rains down on the ridge. However, because the American and North Korean lines are closing together, they take a bit of fire as well. In fact, the Marines may be entrenched to the point where enemy artillery is more of a threat to the enemy.

The enemy units seem to be focused on the center of the ridge. to the North and South, any North Korean unit that approaches gets cut down by focused fire. These Light Infantry teams sneak over the northern ridge and immediately get killed by anti-armor teams, because overwatch attacks are completely overpowered in this game.

Really, I think this match is going to come down to how well we can dissolve this huge blob of North Koreans in the middle of the map. Hopefully, the bombing runs will do enough of a number on them that the defending troops will have an easy time pushing them back.

Ultimately, we can't know anything for sure because we still have 17 turns to last out and the marines are already feeling the pressure.

Of course, we have tanks now. They can be in range of the enemy next turn if they want to.
