Suddenly, the fact my peasants decide "Another wall to climb? Fuck THAT!" when I order them to assault a castle in Shogun 2 makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE. Those are amazing pictures and it looks like you had a whale of a time.

Grand Final Winner - Yukitsu
Second Place - Sydin___

An electrifying finish! Yukitsu shows that if there is one thing experience brings to the table, it's pure consistency. Sydin made a single mistake and Yukitsu went straight for the throat with no mercy and an unstoppable fury! Despite the building control of Sydin, Yukitsu never let him get a proper battle line, forcing Sydin to fight on Yukitsu's terms. Reeling from the early blow and never able to regain balance, Sydin fought masterfully, but in the end there could only be one outcome.

A masterful battle from both players, who have shown consistently throughout the tournament that they are generals to be feared, masters of men and shrewd tacticians. It could have been anyone's fight in the final, but in the end, there can be only one winner.

I would like to thank the following people who made this all possible:

GenericServices - You fought bravely and well. Pulling the tournament winner in the first round was an incredibly steep learning curve, but you handled yourself with grace and dignity, showing skill and promise. Hold your head high, for I give you the Most Improved General Award.

Brainamp - Although you failed to take a place, your skill in battle was impressive and your ability to give visual flair and make spectacular battles that were a joy to behold. For your unbelievably cinematic and amazing use of cavalry, I give you the Great Guard Cavalry Captain Award.

Revenant Threshold - From the start of the tournament you were one to watch, as your skill was evident in all your matches. If anything I would say that in a re-run, you would be a solid finals contender. A solid grasp of the fundamentals and the out of the box thinking you deploy made your matches a pure joy to watch and commentate. You never said die and you never gave in. I present to you the Most like Tomomori Award.

ScotchDK - A spectacular third place and the PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SNAZZY INTROS . Your skill was self evident and you can hold your head high. I would dread to have to fight you. I give you the Nakamitsu Silent but Deadly Award.

Sydin - What can I say that has not already been said? I thought you had the momentum after winning that second battle in the final and given your performance in the tournament, it would be hard to argue that your skills are anything short of masterful. Second place is a great honour, so I award you the Mitsukazu Strategic Master Award.

Yukitsu - You went in the favourite and you never failed to impress. No matter what happened you remained unflappable and flexible, a true masterclass in generalship. I award you the Ultimate Goon General Award. Wear it with pride.

Last but certainly not least, YOU. You read my words, put up with my rambling arguments when I was overtired or stressed and gave me the confidence I needed to beat the Total War Curse. We did this together. We beat the curse. Stand tall, for in your own humble way, you made this LP.

There are, of course, prizes for the lucky competitors. You will need to PM me with the details I need to present you your prize - (Steam email address, etc)

All prizes are transferable and can be given to any goon if the winner doesn't want it or has no need for it.

Yukitsu with first place receives a copy of Fall of the Samurai or any of the lesser prizes if he so wishes.

Sydin with second place receives Any single Shogun 2 DLC item and a forums upgrade of their choice in the form of a Gift Certificate

ScotchDK with third place receives A forums upgrade of their choice in the form of a Gift Certificate and my eternal thanks for the snazzy intros.
