Part 80: Chapter 9, Part 3

Shame is, in my opinion, the second-most creatively designed dungeon after the Abyss. I love this place. It's basically a whole bunch of loosely-connected magical puzzles which don't really translate very well to text. Seriously, this dungeon has a downright intimidating puzzle density. I'm gonna take this in another direction and make a video recording of the dungeon to accompany the posts. It's also something I'd like to do for the Abyss, just because it's such an awesome dungeon that almost nobody ever got to see, so we'll see how this goes.

Dungeon Shame: Complete solution (Part 1)

The first thing we do inside the dungeon is click this button.

It makes this eye appear on the wall. It fires an orb at a target, lowering the force field.

As long as this eye is open the gate stays closed.

Standing inside the threshold makes it close, which opens the gate.

In the next small room are two rotating eyes. They are positioned so they will open when we move toward two gates.

Shooting the target causes the eyes to rotate.

The gate opens when the eyes can't see us anymore.

The next room has a target on the wall.

The eye on the wall launches fireballs at us. If we stand in front of the target, the eye fires an orb instead.

When the orb hits the target, it makes a wall shrink into the floor.

The next room has two statues in the corners. Clicking on them causes two targets to appear.

The two wisps in the room shoot fireballs at us. If we stand in front of a target, however, the solid pink wisp fires orbs.

One target opens a small room with some potions in it.

The other opens the passage to the next tiny room filled with ridiculous puzzles.

This room has another fireball eye in it.

Clicking on the button in the corner makes a moving target appear on the wall.

As before, standing in front of the target makes the eye on the wall vomit an orb.

Hitting the target opens a small room.

The button on the far wall lowers the force field to the next contrivance.

Clicking on the right button makes all of the statues alternate colors.

All we have to do is click on all of the statues as they turn black. When all of the statues are black they begin to flash different colors. Clicking on one makes a chest appear.

The chest contains the Black Globe.

We're done with this side of the dungeon, so we head back to the rotating eye room.

We rotate the eyes once again...

...and head out the other side.
