Part 49: Chapter 4B Sacrifices

Chapter 4B Sacrifices

If you weren't convinced whatever they're feeding them at House Haughn is working, maybe this update will help convince you.

Hoenir, helper of the creation of humans.

Hoenir's Arc is possibly one of the best offensive skills in the game, extending the range of all allies by two squares for three rounds. That means Swordsmen and Warriors have the range of a Sorcerer, Lancers are Archers But Better, and Sorcerers and Archers pretty much outdistance almost any unit in the game. Even 'bad range' characters like Natalia and Auguste still get an attack range of three. The ability makes it easier to attack enemies, avoid retaliation, set up sieges and combo attacks, and deliver retaliations of your own. Just well... don't die and lose the effect.

This power is not mine!

---

Brother, gather your wits! Moments ago you held such vigor, yet now you double in pain?

It is too late for me. Forgive your cowardly brother, dear Phiona.

Spare me your morbid humor! To your feet, Brother!

Haha... The heart of House Haughn beats strongest in you, my sister.

...

Why? It's all so... sudden... WHY!?

Valmur Voice Collection

The only member of House Haghun whose English VA is unknown, Valmur's JP VA is Hiroya Tajima, who... doesn't seem to have a Wikipedia or idMB page. I could link to his Facebook page but I won't. So yeah.

---

Fafnir, son of Hreidmar.

On the reverse side, Fafnir's Heart is probably the ultimate defensive skill, giving you automatic full health revival for three rounds. This pretty much makes you nigh invincible and gives you three rounds to do whatever you want. What more is there to say?

This power shall turn the battle in our favour!

---

...

I can fight no more, but I would not have you see me in defeat.

Phiona Voice Collection

Phiona is voiced in Japanese by Hana Takeda, who if you have a sharp memory, might remember is also the voice of Cheripha. In English she's done by Helena Taylor, probably best known for Bayonetta in her titular game.

And now for the inverse scenes...

---

Phiona, what has possessed you?

I know not, but it scrapes my life away as it leaves me...

You pushed yourself too far, dear Sister. Let me tend to your wounds.

My brother... ever you lack a warrior's heart...

---

To die on the field of battle is all that we of House Haughn can ask of the gods.
