War in the East

by Grey Hunter

Part 102

The Finns make a few attacks, causing about 8,000 casualties on the Russians.

I make an offensive towards Yaroslavel

I cannot take the city, but I reach the outskirts.

Ivanovo falls to my troops.

I make some general attacks, and the Russian line breaks, although they do hold my men off for a while and cause me some extra casualties.

I see a weak spot in their lines, and I ram as many panzers into it as I can, several Russian units are surrounded, and I see a chance, and for once, my speed is halted by caution rather than fuel or time!

I also move men towards Sarinsk, I get Panzers to the outskirts, but no closer.

Further south, I breakthrough with the L.A.H. And may be able to push on to Syzran.

I make attacks along another part of the line, and then shift men south to try and stop the Russian breakthrough.

This area still looks like a mess, but its looks like a more stable mess now.

Around Tbilisi, the main force holds fast, but I do take out a division of artillery.

The Russians mount numerous attacks along my line in their offensive zone. There is nothing around here to even give the offensive a name!

The Hungarians and two German Divisions are trapped once more. Further north, I see the Russians fall back somewhat, I may well be able to clear up here soon.

Russian losses near 100,000, but our own losses are much larger than before, this last push is going to be costly.

Their numbers mat top five million in a week or so, and ours may fall below three.

Replacements can't keep up with these losses.

Supplies increase while the good weather holds.

Only eight more points to win.

At least the mud seems to be gone.
