War in the East

by Grey Hunter

Part 18

Army group north, so near, yet so far.

I start by eliminating the last Russian pocket in the area.

With little else I can do, I move as many units towards the Finnish line as I can.

To the north of the line, I pull back my men a little, allowing me to strengthen my line.

The south is more important, as I try to clear out more Russians. I cannot get any surrenders, but I am able to slowly evacuate the bulge in my lines.

Its the same in the south, although I do advance a little near Voroshlograd.

I also crawl a little closer to Sevastopol.

We see one fight in the south, where the Romanians are driven back.

The big news is this.

Apparently Leningrad is now considered surrounded!

At least we have massively stacked the casualties in our favour.

This is not including the normal skirmish losses of 30,000 men, this purely shows combat losses. Here what the screen looks like at the start of next turn. The Russians are also losing 30,000 men.

The Russian army jumped by 120,000 men last week – where the hell could they have gotten that many men so quickly? Siberia?

At least my replacements are going forwards

And production continues.

Fuel stores increased, but the pools decreased, this could be worrying. I now have to hit Leningrad hard while what I assume is a temporary weather induced surrounding is in effect.

You only get the territory map this time, as there is little change, but I plan on using this for a animated gif of the war.
