War in the East

by Grey Hunter

Part 25

There is little movement in the north, and for one reason.

Everyone's attack CV's are in the ones and twos, no one here is going anywhere. I try and plug the gaps as best I can, but I think this front will be fairly static.

There is no movement at all on this front, but Moscow is going to be the assault point, as the attack CV's here (the first number) show.

There is also the threat of an assault near Rostov.

Now to see what the Russians do.

The Soviet offensive begins with the shattering of the Romanians.

Then they get to work on our troops.

Their attacks come in the north and the south, and more Romanians, and our Jager Division are forced to retreat in the south.

Where we do hold them, we inflict heavy losses on their forces, and across the line, they almost always take more losses than we do.

Here is the shot showing most of their attacks, the north stays quiet, and only around Rostov in the south do the Russians make any moves.

This is a list of the attacks, but not all the Partisan attacks are shows.

The Russians attack with many more men, and lose more of them, but they are advancing.

Look at those losses, most of them will be from frostbite now.

Our operational size dropped rapidly, while the Russians increased in size once more.

As these are not serious combat wounds, many more men are returned to the manpower pool, even if we can't get them out to the front line units all that quickly.

Production continues.

And here is the Historical comparison map, we were further east, but I retreated in places to shorten my line. The south and north show the largest changes.
