War in the East

by Grey Hunter

Part 33

The north sees not real movement once more. I so want this weather to be over – I’ll event take mud and the chance that Leningrad will be cut off once more.

3rd Panzer Army is pulled off the line and begins to move south - I want them in position before the mud.

Here is the Tula bulge before I begin the evacuation.

And here is the front afterwards.

I've given up some ground, but the Russians will have to advance into this slowly. Votonezh should hold now that 2nd Panzer Army is in place to plug it next week.

A little bit of rearranging, but nothing much here.

The Voroneszh assault continues. There are fewer attacks this week, only 49 from the 65 of previous weeks.

As you can see from here, the new line is not attacked as the Russians have trouble advancing into the new terrain – always wary of an ambush.

And there is movement in the north, and while the tip of my spear holds, they end up in a dangerous position.

There are a number of attacks in the south.

Russian losses have dropped this week.

Our numbers have actually increased this week as well.

This is because of a major surge in replacements – could this be the end of the worst winter on record?

Our supplies have jumped up as well.
