Part 73





Shift south, expand north is the continuing pattern here.







Hold steady is the pattern here.



Actually that's a bit of a lie, 4th Army does have a minor offensive to secure the town of Lipetsk.







6th Army creates a hole, and I throw a couple of Panzer Divisions into it to make things interesting.



The Russians retreat out of the bluge they created, and I seal it up.



The Infantry Division and the Mechanized Corps surrender, but the Cavalry Corps needs my own SS Cavalry Division to finish them off.



A large number of southern troops are now heading north.



Baku gets one step closer.



I finally figured out why the 15th will not surrender, they are being protected from my massed forces by a elite group of skill troops – one Battalion is in effect holding off thirty eight thousand of my men. Its the type of thing a film would be made of, if the Russian were ever going to win.









They watch the snow fall.







This week sees a surge in Russian losses, which always make me happy. They will hit eight Million losses before the end of the year.



The Red Armies numbers still increase however.



Our replacements don't really improve however.



The fuel supplies do shoot up however, just in time for me to order the last offensive of the year.



The map now looks a hell of a lot better.
