War in the East

by Grey Hunter

Part 82

Although its hard to see with all this snow, the Finns are not going to be much use to me soon.

Of course, the far north is no longer of any real interest, its here that the real fun is to be had.

9th Army holds, They will be needed to quickly eliminate the Russians once I have cut them off. Well, if.

Further down the line, 2nd Army isolates a Russian strong point, but we cannot cut it off. If only I could move forwards one more hex!

Some of these Rife Corps are getting bloody huge!

The southern side of the Moscow salient cracks once more, and I push some tanks in, once more, the snow stops me from encircling several units.

This seems to be the week for narrowly missing encirclements.

I do wish the last defenders in the south would surrender already.

The defenders around Batumi also continue to hold out.

The Russians are broken in the south, they have pulled large numbers of troops back. I have used aerial reconnaissance to confirm they seem to be using the Ona as their next line of defence.

I shall strike north and isolate as many units as possible. In the north, the Russians have bolstered the line, but once through, only their air force would lie before me.

The constant attrition of Russian replacements continues.

Their numbers take a slight dip, but nothing major.

The struggle to replace our own losses continues.

As well as replacing our supplies.

The cracks are appearing, one more kick and this rotting structure should finally come down. I have to be careful that to many of the roaches do no escape before it does.
