War in the East

by Grey Hunter

Part 83

The Finns make a small advance in their part on the line.

The northern part of the Bulge stalls as a couple of Mountain Divisions are put into line to stop us. These cold weather troops are enough to slow our tired troops.

All this pushing forwards is taking its toll on the units, and I may have to hold here and rest up until summer.

The Russians move more men into that hex, and I send them running back.

I am also able to hammer out another one of those unsightly bumps in the line.

I then push north into Russian territory, the weather prevents me from encircling any of the large units, but I threaten the supply lines of Tula.

I then smash north with the 3rd Panzer Army, Ryazan falls to my men, but I am not able to get anyone across the River.

I start shifting the 2nd Panzer Army eastwards, but they have to hold their part of the line. I need more troops here.

Getting those troops out of Baku is taking forever. And those mountain units just won't surrender!

I do get one of the units on the other side of the mountain to surrender.

They launch one attack on the troops on the eastern part of the front, but that is all.

In the southern half of the Salient, they do not retreat, and I will be able to cut off a large number of troops next week.

In the north, its looking like my advance is going to slow.

The Russian withdrawal made me spend more time moving than attacking, so Russians losses drop this week.

This slowing in losses allows the Russian numbers to climb.

Our replacement rate slows somewhat.

While the fuel supplies dip a bit, the other supply levels stay stable. The fuel is just because most of my armored units are on the move.

Right here is the map I forgot earlier.
