War in the East

by Grey Hunter

Part 93

The Finns make one attack, but are now at their limit.

I have to concentrate 50,000 men, but I take half of Moscow.

Another attack with 45,000 men finishes the job. Stalins body is found in the rubble, the Communist dictator having shot himself rather than let us capture him.

There is then a mass movement of infantry towards the front.

I miss another encirclement, but at least these Russians are in trouble.

I force some more Panzer in towards Gorky.

I drive a little closer to Saransk.

As normal, most of the line just tries to hold off any major Russian push.

They make a number of attacks in the south along the Volga.

But the blasted mud is back.

Russian losses drop to only 100,000 this week.

Russian numbers remain at 4.6 million. This is down nearly a million from their high a few weeks before.

We get a good number of replacements this week. Which will help replace the frostbitten soldiers who have just won the war for us.

The mud makes it hard to replace the fuel we burned, so the stocks drop a little.

I'm now thirteen points short of winning the war!

Unfortunately, the mud makes my map messy, and will slow me down a hell of a lot.
