War in the Pacific

Part 554: Operational Report: 13/06/43

The Japanese ships around Rabaul are getting no breaks at the moment – Just how I like it!

We're also taking out some of the rarer Japanese ships here.

Death continues to rain from the air and onto Rabaul.

Yet we still do not get any reports of enemy casualties on the ground – they are tightly packed down there, how can we be missing though?

I don't know what has happened to my supply convoys, but this time we get lucky.

The carriers have left Rabaul for Truk today, they find it undefended by enemy fighters, and lay waste to the area unopposed.

Planes from Maloelap continue to attack Alingalaplap.

There is another raid on Cox's Bazar.

And once again, some Betties come in without support.

Our men get out of Suchow just in time.

If I can keep the superstack running around, it will be draining supplies rapidly.

I have to say, I am surprised at the lack of enemy defenses at Truk.

I will keep the carriers on station for a little longer to see if we can rack up some more kills and get some more information, but its now looking like Truk will be our next invasion point – even though she will have no easy entrance like Rabaul.
