War in the Pacific

Part 642: Operational Report: 09/09/43

Clunk! Dammit!

We do get some hits on the Nagasaki industry – their fighters seem to have disappeared again.

The bombing of our airfields in Burma continues apace.

There are nearly ten raids like this – I'm amazed that anything at Chittagong remains standing. I am loathed to send any more planes into the region, as I don't have the numbers to deal with that many fighters.

The Fighting at Rangoon continues, I'm going to see if I'm reducing their numbers, and if not, then I'm going to have to take some other steps.

Those Betties try another level bombing run on our ships at Hollandia.

There are two attacks like this, the second one loses one more plane. On the beachhead, the men hold on as the Japanese continue to throw wave after wave against our defences.

At Truk, we take out another layer of fortifications, and the battle should be going our way from now on.

The Marcus Island forces survive another attack by deadly Betty planes.

The Indochina front last long been quiet, but the Japanese decide to open it up today.

We also attack them near Nanyang, but despite everything in our favor, we still take more losses.

We also take Sian undefended.

China explodes back into action after a quiet couple of weeks, I've stopped the Sinyang forces as their target has fled.
Everyone else is on target.
