War in the West

by Grey Hunter

Part 30: Turn 33 - 12th February 1944

No attacks again.

Looks like they are going to try and hold though!

There is a break in the weather and the RAF get to it.

The Americans do some good work on their Targets as well.

Clean up. It needs to happen.

I try something new today – a parachute drop behind enemy lines! One battalion scatters so badly it lands in the sea! The others make it though, and a re ready to hole any enemy retreats.

Now to see if I can perform an encirclement.

This is the key hex to clear.

Lets hit these guys as well.

Cutting this rail line effectively splits the eastern and western forces. Marching over those mountains is slow. They can rail around, but it will take longer. This makes my para drop a bit risky! They have now been cut off for a week in game turns! Lets hope the Germans can't move on them that quickly.

The tanks are unable to break through, moving up one hex takes so much of their time.
