Part 43: Turn 46 - 13th May 1944
The Germans give a little more ground.
As you can tell from the 6,000 sorties, the RAF is heavily into ruining the rail system in France. I'm not invading France, but that's where all the German troops will be coming from!
We do past a few more factories though.
I look to push through the mountains.
The second wave carries the day.
No getting comfortable there.
I want more space to move here.
I can't flank these guys, so I have to smash them.
Troops move north and start looking for holes.
After a couple of weeks digging in, these guys are harder to shift.
I can still force them to retreat though.
I have a huge force into the open now, and next week I hope to expand this position rapidly and to the west.
The Germans now have 2.7 million men under arms. I have close to 3.5 Million.
Fully three hundred thousand prisoners languish in the POW camps. The Germans are losing over two men to every one I lose.
I just need the rain to stop over Europe.
