Part 56: Turn 59 - 12th August 1944
No attacks, but they still manage to lose five Panthers.
I think they just gave up Rotterdam. I think I know where the SS have gone.
Yep, that's one big stop sign right there- but now they are broken down into regiments to cover the ground.
I'm mainly posting this to show how screwed the Germans are already.
The small advances continue.
Mostly the Germans are to well dug in now.
They still hold.
Troops flow north.
The way to Paris is clear.
Clean up begins. This unit surrenders when I follow up the move, as it's an empty shell now.
They have a bit of room to retreat.
But the end comes quickly.
I move rather than hit a wall face on.
I try and get between the Germans and Germany.
The lack of Panzers allows me to breakout in Holland!
I drop Paras and the 4th Canadian a powerful unit - makes into Arnhem! I expect most of the Germans to flee north across the ferry, but this is a major breakthrough, and now the Germans have two routes into their country to worry about!
Your move, Hitler.
