On the docket today: Garona!

Okay, so the name has been bantered around and fist have been shaken at her demonic offspring (Med'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! ), but who exactly is this sultry spy of the Orcish Horde?

Garona Halforcen is exactly that, a half-orc. In the time of Warcraft I, she was considered a half-orc/half-human, under the assumption that the war lasted for many, many years. However, in a bold move by Blizzard, the First War was shortened significantly and all the inconsistencies were glossed over with a fine spray of retcon. Since a human-orc mating wouldn't have produced a child so rapidly in time for here to be the proper age for the first game, we instead learn that Garona is half-draenei. Her conception was planned by Gul'dan who mated orc and draenei together to make a rather "human-ish" looking orc. Gul'dan then magically aged her (Blizzard and magical aging...) and brainwashed her into obedience. Among Gul'dan's Shadow Council, she became the chief interpreter and Gul'dan's personal spy and assassin.

Draenei pass on certain... characteristics. Badonkadonk.

When the First War began, Garona acted as the emissary between Gul'dan and Medivh, often traveling between the dark portal and Karazhan to relay messages. There she met Khadgar, and became "close" with Medivh. (Med'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan ) However, this is also the time that Garona and Khadgar began to investigate Medivh's strange behavior. When the two discovered the truth (using a spell to look into the past, seeing Medivh open the portal), Garona realized how machinated the First War was, and Garona was completely distraught. The two then enacted their plan to kill Medivh.

Now Garona had earned King Llane's trust, but thanks to a vision left behind from Medivh of her assassinating the King, she had difficulties staying close. However, she was able to betray the orcish hordes and feed the humans information about the orcish armies and how best to conquer them. However, after working some of her own separate activities, she was caught by the clerics of Northshire Abbey, where she was broken out. She still has a great role to play in the war, however, and we'll be seeing more from her later.

A few more retcons and we'll be seeing a new Doctor...
