U.S heavy artillery - M270 MLRS: The Multiple Launch Rocket System functions more like the LARS than the Pion, firing a steady stream of unguided rockets at the target. However, the rockets fired by the M270 are nearly twice the caliber of the LARS rockets, making it much more deadly though slower to fire. It also suffers the same drawbacks as the LARS, namely that of a huge trail of smoke and rockets pointing straight back at the launch site.
