Part 88

Chapter 74

So we've defeated the big bad. It's time to get our ending, right?

He can replicate himself all he wants to!
His body has lost its will... It has gone out of control!
We're going to be overwhelmed!
Are...are you kidding me?
We've got to hurry back to the Lunar Whale!

Now we have to escape from the dungeon. Believe it or not, I actually like this part.

First of all, Within the Giant plays throughout the entire event. It seems like a weird choice at first, but it actually works great as finale music here. In fact, I suggest listening to it for this part.

Of course, the elevator doesn't work. Don't worry, we don't have to backtrack through the entire dungeon.

The Creator will be chasing us down throughout the event.

He's really a non-issue, though, as this is for story purposes.

Crush hits everyone for insignificant damage, while Destroy hits one person for insignificant damage. Both significantly hurt Creator.

Beat him up enough, or have him beat himself up enough, and he'll retreat.

Wh-what're you doing here!?
I waited, as you ordered...

Oh yeah, the Creator will constantly pester us during our escape.

Understood...

Bad screenshot, but it shows the tiny Maenad joining us. Sure, why not?

If I had one complaint about this escape sequence, other than the plot, it's that it drags on for too long.

The Maenads are helping us to save the girl. Alright, then.

The rest of the Maenads figure they're going to die, so they might as well help the party save the last of their kind.

I guess so she can travel in a moon ship until she goes crazy and starts creating Mysterious Hunks to kidnap Orbs she created to get evolutionary material for other species.

The Maenad sacrifices herself with Meteor.

And with that, the Creator is finally dead.

I seriously don't understand why the Maenads are so pissed at the Creator now. I mean, it's not like they were any better, or that they have the emotional maturity to understand that what they were doing was bad. It doesn't make much sense for them to suddenly care, but oh well. At least the music is awesome.

Luckily, we don't have to trek through the rest of the dungeon. We're essentially done with the gameplay.

Short but sweet. I had to rip that one and the ending music for the next update myself, so enjoy.

The moon is leaving us...
Perhaps we owe our lives to the Creator, in the end.
I never knew the Crystals were made for a reason like that.
What does this mean for the future of our Crystals?

Next time, the ending.
