November Cod Crisis: Canadian Turn 3

If you'll recall. We got ripped a new orifice last turn, but we still have our point handicap, so there's still a chance of victory, unlike the time we got reamed by Urcinius.

By attracting fire from the Panzer III turrets, the PT boats can make them run out of attacks for that turn. This allows the surviving landing force to get to the beach unharmed.

The 50 men to the North take cover behind a patch of forest, save for a Carl Gustav which is pointed squarely at the nearby turret.

The Mortar Team starts firing Submachinegun rounds at a nearby turret in the hopes of pinning it and sprinting to cover next turn (The lander would have fallen apart with one more shot, it was that or nothing at all).

The paratroopers consolidate themselves so that next turn the unit can muster the offensive capacity of several sections rather than a single section at a time. We simply don't have enough men to do a North Korea impression at this time.

Speaking of which, our second para company lands at the end of the turn. It's a smooth enough landing except for the two MAW teams which go straight into the drink (If an air transport is attacked, it sometimes takes longer to drop its cargo, which can have horrible results).

There are a few enemy units around, though. The company could take quite a few losses to enemy fire, but if it doesn't, we will now have three independent forces moving around the northern part of the map, with fire support from the PT boats.

I have a feeling that it's going to come down to what we do with the new paratroopers in the next few turns.
