Part 1: The Train

Update 1: Prologue on a Train

Cutscene video: Youtube

A passenger train steams its way across central Filgaia.

Inside one of its compartments, a girl rests, reading a copy of "Disaster Girl of the Wasteland."
This will turn out to be quite appropriate.

Outside, the train ploughs on under dark skies.

She's been sleeping, and decides to get up. Maybe to take a leak, maybe to visit the buffet car, maybe to stand on a balcony and dramatically sing about her heart's need to take flight. It would not surprise me. It doesn't matter because -

- the entire train shakes and jolts as the brakes hit, and she falls flat on her face.

The bump on her head must have been severe. She seems to hallucinate that she can see floating letters, and looks directly at them.

Choosing to ignore their sensible advice, the girl instead decides to check the corridor, and has to duck back to avoid drawing the guard's attention.

Something seems to have upset them.

Whatever it is, it's obviously a job for a random nosy eighteen year old girl. She runs out into the corridor to investigate...

... and immediately runs into someone. Should have watched where you're going!

I-I'm terribly sorry!
Don't apologise! It's her fault.

I'm not sure. I'm making the rounds to see what I can find out. Until then, please return to your cabin and remain seated.

She shrugs her shoulders and decides to return to her cabin.

*PSYCHE!*

Outside, it turns out the lock to the next carriage has been broken.

Miss, please... This car is off limits.
That's because there's something important in there, right?
That is correct. And that is precisely the reason why that car is off limits to all passengers.
Then... if something were to happen, there's a good possibility it might happen in there, right? I mean, look...

What, he's never heard of lockpicks?

He's never heard of lockpicks.

I say we take a look inside. We might find more behind the truth we already know...

"Off limits to all passengers" is immediately forgotten in the face of some poorly translated, strange logic.

Thank goodness... Everything seems to be in order. But let me check the crate, just in case...
All the windows are boarded up. You sure are taking precautions. What exactly is in there, anyway?

It's Marsellus Wallace's soul!

Wow... What are all these lights?

Suddenly, there is the sound of smashing glass!

A shortass teen kid breaks in though the window!

A big Baskar comes out of hiding!

A nerd with a rifle runs in though the door!

Oh shit, Mexican stand-off!

At this point we get to pick our first character to play though the traditional Wild Arms prologues. We'll be starting off with the girl - I'll let you lot pick the order for the other three. In the meanwhile, we need a name for her. (nine letters is the limit)

The Girl in First Class

Weapon: Dual pistols
Annoying catchphrase: Never-ending metaphors about wings and flight.

The green rookie, she is hopelessly, idiotically naive. Despite this she seems to be the team leader. How... I do not know.
