Introduction
So why exactly are you playing these games?
Despite the overall reaction on the net, I enjoy most of these games (Shadow just for the sheer so-bad-its-good factor). Sure, these are bad to mediocre Sonic games but not the worst things the industry has spewed out. Still playable by all means (I had no trouble from what I can remember, though I'll find out again with this LP) and I just happen to know a fair bit of knowledge about this franchise, from the usual stuff to the random tidbits. Since my style of LPing is being informative, this will work in my favor.
Okay then. What's the plan?
Well the order will be Sonic Adventure 1, 2 and Heroes. Shadow will be its own thread. Riders is a possibly why?: the story mode is so short so it'll take like 2-4 videos to wrap up + to show those just how things are in the game. It'll be included with the Heroes portion.
So will you be doing the Chao gardens?
Chao gardens are a maybe. As of now, it's too early to bother with them and if we move to SA2 so soon, most of the chao in SA1 would be pretty much forgotten. So it's a "just wait and see" kind of thing at the moment.

The beginning of what the series will end up for the last decade. Whether this was a good thing or not, depends on how you were introduced to the series in general. Aside from adding a 3rd dimension, all the characters were revamped, some not as much as others, along with the addition of humans other than Eggman in the games.
What major changes from the Dreamcast version are:
+ Updated models and textures, pretty much similar to their SA2 ones
+ Missions for each character after you complete their story
+ Unlockables for collecting the emblems (mainly the Game Gear games)
+ GBA link compatible with Sonic Pinball Party to rasies on the go and/or send your chao to SA2 (least from what I've read)
+ Cutscenes are skippable
+/- Quick cameos from Cream the Rabbit
- Some DLC from the Dreamcast version (holiday events) are still in the game's coding, but not accessible by any means.
- Game is actually more glitchy than the original for some reason.
You have a choice of playing as 6 different characters, each with their own move set and objective in their levels, which I'll show whenever we actually get to each character. Story became the main event along with the Chaos Emeralds being nothing more than plot devices. There's a lot more but as the LP goes on, I'll show and explain when it appears.
