An insane AI wipes out humanity save for five people, who it keeps artificially alive to psychotically torture. The game begins in their 109th year in the machine. How can you make such a depressing premise into a game? Vlaphor shows us in this tour of a game based on a short story by Harland Ellison, who also helped write the game and voice acts the antagonist.
Released for the N64 and PS1 this game served as the template for all 3D Spidey games to follow. General Ironicus and Chip Cheezum take turns with both versions as well as "What If?" mode. Come for Spider-Man, stay for Venom, and fuck that damn train.
The archive has worked with Project Wonderful for over three years by now. How time flies!
A couple of weeks ago we rolled out a new experiment that the more eagle-eyed might have noticed. Google adsense ads will now appear in Project Wonderful ad slots as well as normal bids from PW advertisers.
In the case that there isn't an appropriate google ad to display, the system will fall back and show an unobtrusive link to Project Wonderful instead, making sure to remain out of the way as with all other ads.
