Part 58: Bonus Content: Raki's Repeat Battles

After you beat Raki for the final time, she hangs out in the room where you fought her offering to fight again, just like Kanade did.



This is what she says on your first visit.

: ...Eh!? W-why is Raki acting kinda strange?
: Oh no, I was always like this from before.
: ...It's Reki. I think she rewrote her program.
: Either way, we're done with the preparations. I'm ready whenever you are.
: Uhm...prepared for what?
: Oh please, Mr. Croix. Didn't you come here for a [Sparring Battle!]?

: ...... This is Reki's doing too, I bet.
: The [Sparring Battle!] is a game where you get to fight me.
: ...It doesn't really sound much like a game more than just a battle.
: Of course not! Each time you win, there's a great bonus!

: Yes! Every time you win, my performance is raised by one level.
: ...And that's a bonus?
: You can enjoy a thrilling battle all the time. Your life won't be boring.

I'm not going to post images - each fight looks exactly the same and it's pretty much the same as the previous fights against her.

Except that.

This is the famous bugged attack, that crashes PS2s. Thanks to the Asmodean patch and a certain magic disc, I'm able to see it. Fractal Change puts out a random jamming, but I'm not sure about all the effects. I think there's one that prevents you from triggering a red magic manually, and I know there's one that prevents you from filling the emotion indicators. I know that the Replakia display is covering Raki a bit but honestly I don't think I have any shots without it, and I don't want to risk damaging my PS2's drive again.
