Laager: Tactical Update 11Arakiel didnt hear the explosion. She didnt even really feel it beyond the pressure that threatened to pop her eyeballs. The agonizing neural feedback as her Vikings DI computer shit the proverbial brick drove spears of concentrated agony straight into her brain. A Neurohelmet did far more than simply read the workings of the inner ear. BattleMechs responded to thought and intent as much as any physical cockpit command. It wasnt the severance of that neural link that was painfulit was the DI Computers confused attempts to re-establish that broken connection that hurt. A BattleMech ran more processes than Arakiel could name but nearly all of them relied on her brain. Stories had always persisted of pilots whod burned out their brains using poorly-calibrated neurohelmets. Arakiel had never seen direct proof of that, but pilots died from falls and ammunition explosions all the time, often enough leaving perfectly healthy bodies.
Just like the instant a JumpShip crossed into hyperspace an eternity passed in the blink of an eye. She wanted to vomit, to weep, and to pass out all at the same time. But she didnt. Arakiel had a fight to win. She stared up at Abadans purplish sky through the Vikings front canopy and started rocking her machine through the motions that would let her roll the basically limbless body back onto its feet. Blake willing shed have time to rest after the fight was won. Or shed died.

Reload Point ComStars technicians are very motivated and have six tons of LRM reloads available. They can reload 2 tons of LRM ammo per turn spent inside the Mechbay. The Legacy isnt built for quick reloads, but the technicians may be able to supply it with one additional ton of gauss rifle ammo. If only one `Mech is in the Mechbay the technicians will also replace damaged armor plates, restoring the armor on all damaged sections up to the nearest multiple of 5. If a section is already at a multiple of five, its armor cannot be restored.
Hidden Assets The light autocannon turrets are currently in low-power standby mode. ComStar has always maintained up rumors that the power grid supporting them is incomplete or somehow insufficient to power them. They will not open fire until at least two players request their activation on the same turn. This deception may be detected by enemy units with a Beagle Active Probe.
