Auxilia: Tactical Update 12They are withdrawing, Bethany Cochraines cold, analytical voice presented a scenario that seemed accurate enough. The enemy Nidhogg fired its jets, leaping back towards the treeline. Duncan watched it with a grimaceitd finally succeeding in taking the leg off of Amazon Cardosos Awesome and apparently that was enough of a feat to erase the stain of being forced from the battlefield.
It is not a surprise, Bethany continued even as the Copperhead on the ridge cut down Robert Weiszs little Locust with a barrage of lasers and missiles. We have both been reduced to fewer than half effectives, not counting Lt. Delwyn. For us, I think those numbers are expected, but I do not think these Snow Ravens are used to losing. Losses like that to an inferior force like us must be practically unthinkable. Someone upstairs finally noticed how badly we have worn them down.
Do we pursue?
Duncan considered that for a moment, but Jason was the first to reply. Take a few parting shots if you can, but dont get yourselves killed. Most of them are fresher than we areif they stuck it out and fought smart theyd have a chance of knocking us all out.
I agree, Duncan added, and whatever you do watch out for that damned Copperhead. Hes had our number this whole time.
