Part 23: Vacation, need a little sun; to break up all the frustration and turn it into love
~Update 11: Vacation, need a little sun; to break up all the frustration and turn it into love~Round 2 voting has ended and we now have a small shake up in our focus heroines going forward.
1.
![](1-feenesmile.png)
Feene was the dominant choice by a wide margin. I'm not overly surprised, but it is a little odd to see her rank so high above the others. I guess the thread wanted to include a route that seems like it might be a little more down to earth. No miracle concerts for little sick kids, or Church assassinations, or Grand Strategy Conferences. Just good old fashioned photography (so far), and maybe a little 'girls love' on the side. Nothing wrong with that.
Feene will be accompanying Wake into the story dungeon during this update. Given how popular she is (and how late she joins the cast), I felt it would be a little unfair to go in reverse order like I did last time. That would result in Feene not seeing action until the end of Chapter 6.
2.
![](2-narikasmile.png)
The newly smug and jerky Narika maintained her spot in the rankings. Her sudden personality swing is either concerning people or making her a more attractive character, depending on how you feel about her. Is success going to her head? Or is she just a fucking master of deception that lulled Sasami into a false sense of security before pulling the rug out from under her at a clutch moment?
Narika will be going with Wake into the Chapter 5 story dungeon.
3.
![](3-chloesmile.png)
Pop Star Chloe slipped from #1, but still managed to edge out 'Assassin's Creed: Ellie' and retain a spot. The thread seems to have a fondness for the currently suspended homeroom teacher, so we'll continue following the suddenly rocky idol career of Ms. Chloe.
Chloe will be going along with Wake into the Chapter 6 story dungeon.
So there are your (kind of) new Focus Heroines. The biggest surprise of this vote in my mind was Ellie. Apparently she lost a little bit of her luster once we finally found out what she was up to in her Church work. Alternatively, Feene siphoned off Ellie's votes to fuel her rise to #1. Alternatively alternatively, people just really hate Lucian and want no part of his crap.
Could be a little bit of all three, as well. Who knows. Other than that, Torri and Fuuko both picked up some decent support, while Serina's pool of supporters evaporated due to user BlazeEmblem discovering her horrible secret (she actually uses a gun weapon, just like every heroine). She was left with a single troll vote.
So guess what? That means Serina will be joining Wake for a little romp through a Sub-Labyrinth! She's going to aim for the coveted 'LP Ending' spot and try to win people over with her dungeon performance and route summary. She did manage to claw her way up to S Rank after all, so anything is possible.
As mentioned before, I will be going over every route at the end of the LP. In a highlight summary anyway. You'll get to find out what happens to everyone one way or another.
I have also remembered that I have missed some of the music tracks that play around Fort City. The dungeon music is largely forgettable (other than the main battle theme), but these ambient city tracks are pretty nice.
Routine in 366 Days - Plays a lot during some of the generic Sub-Events
Harvest Code - Plays in the Dorm Room a lot
Shop Show - Plays in the Shop
There's an extended version of the title screen music as well, but I can't post it yet since it spoils literally every ending CG. I'll post it when the LP wraps up because it's actually a really pleasant tune.
![](4-update011-01.jpg)
Before we get rolling, I have a few small highlights from Wake and Serina's jog through W.Wind Tunnel.
![](5-update011-02.jpg)
Couple of things about this screenshot. First of all, hidden traps are getting annoying common now. It's entirely possible to hit one, walk three steps, and run straight into another one. You can easily go through a dungeon losing more health to traps than the enemies. It happened to me on my second journey in here.
Why the second journey? That is answered by a certain quest enemy.
Namely, it's a group of big scary tough EXP pinata enemies. They appear here when you accept the quest "Serious Sagitta". BE CAREFUL WITH "SERIOUS" [ENEMY] QUESTS. Why am I giving you a warning for a game that has been a cakewalk so far?
![](6-update011-03.jpg)
![](7-update011-04.jpg)
![](8-update011-05.jpg)
![](9-update011-06.jpg)
That's why. Do not fuck with the Serious Quest enemies at this early stage of the game. They are powerful little bastards that can first turn kill your entire team.
Now, you could probably take them if you abuse the DLC EXP quest, but for the most part you'll want to avoid them for now. If you cannot take them on, then it's a good idea to cancel the quest before continuing in this dungeon. Otherwise these guys will prove to be dangerous obstacles as you explore.
![](10-update011-07.jpg)
Scary little buggers. Anyway, the rest of Wind Tunnel is comprised of enemies you've seen before. There might be some color variants kicking around, like this Ursulaam here, but none of them are really worth pointing out.
Honestly, there isn't much I can tell you guys about the recolor enemies. They just have slightly higher stats and maybe a higher tiered spell. The same strategies apply, which is to say you kill them in a few regular attacks, or you use your attack skills to kill them in one attack. Then you move on with your life.
![](11-update011-08.jpg)
Narika also sends us a message.
![](12-narikaneutral.png)
I think you've gone plenty far enough Narika. Either way, it's nice of you to be supportive and concerned for Wake's well being, as opposed to going out and partying with friends like Fuuko.
Speaking of Fuuko, she wanted to redeem herself for that message.
![](13-fuukoneutral.png)
Fuuko, I like the determination, but the place it's coming from needs correcting. Gotta work on that self-esteem, girl. Not like you don't have sources to draw from when it comes to that. You're only an incredibly good looking S-Ranked Elite student that fights through hell using Warrior Spirit Children bestowed by God.
![](14-update011-09.jpg)
I mean, just look! Felicia thinks the world of you! Adorable. And don't just think she's flattering you because she's your Star Child. These kids are not afraid to speak their minds. Case in point:
![](15-update011-10.jpg)
![](16-update011-11.jpg)
That's cold, Aria.
![](17-update011-12.jpg)
![](18-update011-13.jpg)
That's all there is for W.Wind Tunnel. The 'boss' for this Sub-Labyrinth is just a group of color swapped varients of the blue ghost dudes from our first Sub-Labyrinth.
![](19-update011-14.jpg)
With that out of the way, I also take Torri into the other Sub-Labyrinth just to finish it off. I already explored it while showing off the EXP Sagitta, so the only thing left is to pop in and beat the boss.
The boss of this Sub-Labyrinth was just one of those golden skeletal ghosts accompanied by two of the blue variety. Boring.
Clearing the Sub-Labyrinths is a good idea though. One of the Star Children requires you to clear a certain number of them in order to unlock the class.
![](20-update011-15.jpg)
That will be for another Chapter though. Sloth has no Sub-Labyrinths.
![](21-update011-16.jpg)
Feene was incredibly popular in the vote, and it just so happens that this Labyrinth is basically built for her. Enemies are a mix of all four elements, which Dusk is super effective against.
At least she'll get to start strong. Let's hit it!

I see Ruby is totally pumped to dive into a Circle as long as she has some kind of muscle protecting her. God forbid she be put in any kind of real danger. Mark and his team though? Whatever.
![](38-update011-20.jpg)
Hell yeah, Feene. Break the walls down. Let's do this.
![](39-update011-21.jpg)
Sloth doesn't have much in the way of surprises early on. Just more of these giant armored rhino guys.
![](40-update011-22.jpg)
And wind versions of these guys. Creepy.
![](41-update011-23.jpg)
Some nice new equipment can be picked up as well. I don't mind taking a loss of 15 speed for a boost of 50 attack plus the passive chance to instant kill, even if said chance is probably incredibly low.
![](42-update011-24.jpg)
Torri also chimes in. The other heroines are getting awfully chatty lately.
![](43-torrineutralopen.png)
Well, at least she isn't starving or talking about how she's blown all her money. That's a start.
Upon reaching the fifth floor, we run into Dora the Dusk Explorer.

![](45-rubysmile.png)
At least Ruby doesn't need rescuing. Let's get some distance from her before that changes.
![](48-update011-27.jpg)
More 'trap' enemies. Which means awesome EXP. Sweet.
![](49-update011-28.jpg)
Something else that starts appearing from now on are Locked chests. They look like Trap chests, but require a skill or item to open. Felicia already has the Lockpick skill however, so I can just open these bad boys as I please.
![](50-update011-29.jpg)
Everybody was Kung-Fu Fighting.
![](51-update011-30.jpg)
Upon entering the sixth floor, we get greeted by this mid-boss. He has a Lab Quest attached to him as well, which you should probably do.
Chlotz warns us that this guy can use powerful Aqua attacks and attacks that cause Panic. Good for him.
![](52-update011-31.jpg)
I actually get a little too eager and nearly kill him before I get a shot of his stats. I guess my brain had just been running on auto-pilot.
Zectagalum is a speedy boy and has the third tier Aqua spell. This and the gold snake monster spells can actually hurt quite a lot. Team B took a major hit from a Dual Blaze.
![](53-update011-32.jpg)
Ouch. Granted, none of these teams are really built for tanking Magic attacks. They have some decent MDF, but their main focus is on physical stuff.
After taking him down, we quickly move on. I finally swap out Wake's DLC weapon with something else as well. He loses the Critical+, which is really useful, but the new weapon has a chance to Paralyze instead. I mostly just wanted to change up the look. Unlike the girls weapons, Wake's will actually change appearance.
![](54-update011-34.jpg)
After ten damn floors of this dungeon, we finally reach the portal for the boss. It took like 35 minutes for me to get through this in one non-stop run. And that was with me avoiding most of the enemies and taking the portals as soon as I discovered them.
![](55-update011-35.jpg)
![](56-feeneangry.png)
![](57-update011-36.jpg)
![](36-chlotzcall.png)
Great advice Chlotz. If only we had someone on the team that had Ether element attacks. That's not exactly an easy to access element. I'm not even entirely sure that you can get Ether element attacks at this stage of the game.
![](33-wakeneutral.png)
![](58-update011-37.jpg)
![](59-update011-38.jpg)
Okay, so Belphegor here is actually a boss worth watching out for. It has formidable defenses, both physical and magical. It is also a boss that can use Dusk Release, which is the opposite of Wake's Ether release. Dusk Release will let bosses reduce the Ether density gauge and erase your speed boost.
It being Dusk element is also dangerous, since your Star Children will be basic element types.
![](60-update011-39.jpg)
![](61-update011-40.jpg)
![](62-update011-41.jpg)
![](63-update011-42.jpg)
Tri-Onslaught is Wake and Feene's Seventh Burst. It's actually a little disappointing in my mind. They just weirdly fly around each other in a straight line and slash the enemy.
![](64-update011-43.jpg)
The damage is fairly impressive though. It also gives us an idea of how much HP Belphegor is rocking. Seems to be around 20k or so.
![](65-update011-44.jpg)
![](66-update011-45.jpg)
Dusk Release hurts by the way, and unlike Monokuma, Belphegor has the MP to keep hitting you with it. Wake and Feene hold out okay, but that's because Feene is Dusk element herself. This would have hurt a lot more if we took one of the other heroines with us.
![](67-update011-46.jpg)
I have Team B MECUNITE here for a particular reason. On top of giving them full HP and making them sturdier, it gives them access to Master Heal which is a 100% full party restore.
![](68-update011-47.jpg)
It's still too early for that though. I hit it with Code TEC instead and manage to reduce Belphegor's TEC, for whatever difference it makes.
![](69-update011-48.jpg)
Belphegor hits with a standard attack next, which still hits everyone kind of hard, but not nearly as much as Dusk Release. A Dusk Release here probably would have taken out one or two of the individual Star Children.
![](70-update011-49.jpg)
![](71-update011-50.jpg)
Now I pop the Master Heal. Belphegor gets one more basic attack in, then is taken down by some standard attacks by everyone.
![](72-update011-51.jpg)
The battle isn't overly difficult, but you may need to be careful of HP levels during the fight. Dusk Release is kind of difficult to guard against since your Star Children are basic elemental and the AI just throws it out at random, usually whenever you manage to build the Ether Density. If you are somehow having trouble with it, then maybe bring along a Cleric/Warlock or turtle up whenever you need to heal.
The real kicker here is that we aren't finished with this dungeon yet.

![](87-update011-59.jpg)
That's right, it's a back-to-back boss fight (sort of). This is the reason I healed up in the last battle. Technically you could just pop the MECUNITE right now and full heal as well. You've probably even got a high enough BP max at this point to be able to do it twice in one dungeon.
Dusk Eater is not as threatening as Belphegor was. It has no magic or Dusk Release nonsense and it's HP is closer to that of a Regred. That being said, it still has really good defense.
![](88-update011-60.jpg)
It can also still do a wide-ranging attack that deals a fair amount of damage.
![](89-update011-61.jpg)
He also gives out more EXP than the actual story boss. Again, not really all that scary, but it is something to keep in mind when you are fighting Belphegor.

Pool Party -

Let's get it over with.
![](149-update011-74.jpg)
These screenshots will be very selectively chosen for the purposes of the LP.
![](150-update011-75.jpg)
Fuuko, Ellie, and Serina all breaking a ton of pool rules here. No running! You'll break your necks!
![](151-update011-76.jpg)
Chloe is presumably yelling at them about the same thing. Also, she nearly clocks herself in the face with her own chest.
It saddens me that her swimsuit is somehow almost more conservative than her battle costume. She just stands out so much compared to the others.
![](152-update011-77.jpg)
![](153-update011-78.jpg)

Serina takes a beach ball straight to the face.

Narika apparently makes the save.
Chloe is sprawled out on the chair back there and there's no way for me to screencap it to an acceptable level.
![](159-update011-84.jpg)
And everyone has fun in the pool. Except for Wake and Chlotz apparently, who are nowhere to be seen throughout that entire cutscene.
Also, this is the public pool? What kind of pristine public pool, located in the middle of a city, is that empty during a hot summer day?

What kind of crap-shack is that place anyway? It's none of your damn business what kind of food they want to eat. If the customer has money and you've got it on the menu, then you give them what they order.

That was a nice way to bring Chapter 4 to a close. Also we're past the pool thing now, so that's the last of that anime craziness. No hot springs trip in here (not in the main story anyway).
Now that we have our focus heroines sorted out, we can get back to rolling through the story. Next time we get cracking on Chapter 5, then we have some catching up to do with Feene. Okay, actually a LOT of catching up to do with Feene.
