Part 25: Disgaea: Then and Now
Disgaea: Then and Now
Laharl: The evolution of Laharl's art is interesting. He never really looks older or more mature, just more sinister. This fits with the evolution of his character in practice, because you see much more in his cameo appearances exactly how much of an asshole he can be.
Portraits: Here are his character portraits from game to game.

Cut-In: Here's his cut-in for a team attack in Hour of Darkness vs Absence of Justice

Other Art: Here's comparisons of some of his general art from Hour of Darkness to Cursed Memories

Etna: We really see the most differences in Etna, largely because she plays such a large role in Disgaea 2. She looks more mature and more sinister than in Disgaea, largely conveyed through facial expression.

Flonne: Flonne sees the least change in her character and the least change in her artwork from game to game. There's of course a large change in color scheme from Hour of Darkness to Cursed Memories since she's a fallen angel in the second. She's also got bat wings and fangs as a fallen angel.

And now some just general art of them all from one to the other. These are especially interesting because they feature some art done around the time of Disgaea 2 with normal Flonne instead of Fallen Angel Flonne, which serves even better to show the evolution of how the character is drawn.
