Epilogue: All's Well That Ends...

Oh, it's you. Well, no...Sorry, my son's not home right now.

No, I can't say when he'll be back. It's strange...Well, have a seat, and I'll tell you.

You see, it was a few nights after Ness told you his story...

It was about ten o'clock at night. Ness and Tracy were in bed, and I was watching the end of 'Summers 90211", when suddenly there was a knock at the door, just like that night the dreadful meteor landed on the hill. Before I could even get up, Ness had come downstairs in his jammies. Yes, ever since he's come home, he's been sleeping lightly...I do worry about him sometimes. Anyway, he was downstairs and answering the door lickety-split.





Well, it was Picky, that nice boy from the Minches' house next door. He's so much nicer than his brother, it really is remarkable how different those two are.



: "There's no stamp, and it's not time for the mailman to come...Anyway, I brought it over."

Ness looked pretty suspicious, and he opened the letter. He got this look in his eyes...It was rather unpleasant, honestly. He looked so mad. Before I could even say anything, he had darted upstairs. He came back down, dressed, and he crumpled that letter up and ran off into the night.



No, I haven't heard from him since. I even phoned Paula's parents, over in Twoson...They said Paula's gone missing too. Ness suddenly appeared in the night, and the two of them ran off together. I haven't spoken to either of his other friends' parents, but I'm rather worried about Ness...After all of that Googi nonsense, I hoped life would get back to normal around here.

What's that? The letter? Well, it didn't make any sense to me, but I suppose it won't hurt to show you.
