Paralogue 18: The Dead King's Lament
Once Grima is defeated, all the current Renown is counted up and saved for future playthroughs. I'll get to Renown bonuses in a separate update, but it jumpstarts a new playthrough with some great weapons, stat boosters, and money among other things.

Beating the endgame throws the party back at the last save which means any levels gained during the walk to killing Grima are reset. That means there's no true post-game for Awakening, but there's still tons of things to do.




Going to the bonus box->bonus maps are 6 paralogues that were released every 2 weeks on spotpass. These can be activated any time, but are only open once Endgame: Grima is revealed. You can do all of these paralogues before fighting Grima for the first time as well.


The Dead King's Lament is the first paralogue up for "post-game" content. It's located left of Chapter 23, in the very southwest corner of the 1st continent.

An interesting map as there's a narrow mountain passage to reach the boss. The real difficulty will be the unique way to recruit our...special guest that has appeared from the dead.
