Just what the hell is Frequency?
You may know Harmonix as the developers who made Guitar Hero, got bought by MTV, and are now making Rock Band games. What many people don't know is that they started out with Frequency, a humble little game you play with just three buttons on a regular PS2 controller. You may recognize it as being similar to Rock Band: Unplugged or the iPod game Phase. The 42 people who actually bought a PS2 online adapter might remember its online demo, and it was successful enough to spawn a sequel named Amplitude. There is also a really awesome feature to remix any song in the game!
But what's so great about this game?
IGN's review describes it as "digital crack in the purest sense." If you enjoy Guitar Hero or Rock Band, you're likely to enjoy this game, and it's very similar to Rez, both visually and musically. This article does a great job of describing how amazing it is.

Because I'm a huge fan of Harmonix, this game in particular, and I want to show it to the world (or at least a bunch of goons). I used to be extremely good at it too, setting many high score records that nobody (to my knowledge) has beaten. LPing it will give me a chance to play it again, as well as entertain you!
Ok, how is this LP going to work then?
I will play through the levels one at a time on Expert mode (the hardest difficulty), providing commentary and trivia with subtitles. In between the game's five stages, I'll also show off its unique remix mode.
