Keep submitting builds or the world will explode!Okay, it probably won't, but is that a chance you're willing to take?
Mission #49: KAZUKI HURLS COMPLETE GAME SHUTOUT, WINS 4-0
: We're finally here, thanks to Kazuki.
: Don't depend on them too much. They're only mercenaries.
But we aren't mercenaries! I mean, if we were mercenaries, we'd be about worst ones in history, since I'm pretty sure that our party is losing money on this whole operation.
: Huang...
: Huang! What do you think you're doing!? Don't ever compromise civilian safety!
: There are other things we must do, no matter what the cost! This is not you place to speak.
: Are you crazy!? There isn't anything worth more than life!
: Kazuki! Listen!
: Later!
: Kazuki, Emma's squad is surrounded by enemies!
: What!? What do you mean!?
: She acted as a decoy to prevent more enemies from showing up!
: Damn it!
: Kazuki, you have to help Emma!
: Get a rescue squad ready! I'm going in.
: No!
: Huang!?
: We must invade Shanghai. We don't have extra forces.
: Are you going to cut Emma off!?
: She was aware of the danger. If she keeps the enemy's attention, we can move into Shanghai more easily.
: You monster!
I like how Kazuki is happy to leave his sister in the clutches of Lukav so he can save Emma. I mean, he'd like to save Alisa, but he's got to save Emma.
: Kazuki, you don't have time for this! I'll take you there. Get ready!
: Liang Hua!
: Liang Hua, don't do anything I didn't order!
: Huang, I can't let her die. She saved my life! I'll listen to you complain later.
Well, time to save Emma, which is good, because I'm damned tired of having to use Dennis in every mission.
: Kazuki, get the enemies.
: Okay, don't overdo it!
: You too!
: All right, let's hit 'em hard!
This is essentially a repeat of a mission we did a couple updates ago. There's a grenade launcher, a helicopter, a couple of tanks and a couple of Laiying 1s. Not exactly a murderer's row, here.
Ryogo goes off to fight more tanks as the game engine shows its...issues.
Front Mission 3 involves loads of clipping, lagging and low-resolution textures, and it's still a huge improvement over Front Mission 2.
Float on, Ryogo, float on.
Wait, but that's Dennis...and an enemy just got killed...I'm so very confused. I guess the game must be glitching out on me.
To be fair, the Time To Fly can do more than kill tanks. It can also kill helicopters.
And Dennis destroyed the grenade launcher too? Nothing makes sense anymore...
Marcus punches the last Laiying in the throat. As is his way. There's not much strategy to this mission. As long as you don't just stand in the starting spot and let the enemy blast you with missiles, you'll be fine.
Ryogo ends the mission by gunning down a foot soldier. No, he ends it by heroically gunning down a foot soldier who had the powers of a God and a wish to see the world burn. After all, history is written by the winners.
I am invincible. Kazuki wins MVP. I know Dennis had this kill shots, but that's only because Kazuki was there softening the targets up.
We're all fine on our side.
: Emma!! I told you to take it easy, didn't I!?
: I'm sorry, but I had to do it so we could control Nanjing.
: Even then...
: And also, I believed that you would come to the rescue.
: ...
You know, here's what I don't get. This game was made by Squaresoft, but they actually managed to pull off an understated romantic subplot...and yet, there are still games like Final Fantasy X out there. Why is that?
: Um, I didn't mean to interrupt you two, but... They're all loaded on the chopper. We'll return to Nanjing.
: Yeah, thanks, Liang Hua! I got it. Let's pull out before more enemies come.
