Part 144: Emma's Branch Alternate Missions #18-20: No More Goodtimes
Well, friendos, here it is, the last update in this LP. Oh, there are a few more alternate missions I could show off, but well, I think you've seen me blow up enough Yongsais already.Emma's Branch Alternate Missions 18-20: No More Goodtimes
Mission 18
This is basically just a replay of a mission from the other path, more specifically, the one where you face off against the least intimidating super-weapon ever.

Aw, it's adorable the way it thinks its beam weapon is going to work against wanzers with shields.
Mission 19
Here's a summary of the important events in this mission, which is exactly the same as the corresponding mission in the other path.

At this point, the party is forced to engage in the most aggravating of escort missions, which is still as much of a pain as it was the first time I played, actually, even more so, since I don't have Yun this time. Once that's over...

Mission 20

Purple Haze is once more getting their asses kicked, with Gastor already sent to the shores of eternity. Who could have defeated such a mighty squad?

The Senor Goodtimes himself.

And then Jose kills Joe with a hail of gunfire.

Clearly.

First up, Jose. Now, Jose may have miraculous cutscene powers, but when it comes to a real battle....

He's just another Jinyo that's in my way.

After Jose, it's really not much of a fight. The enemy has superior long-range firepower, but the AI doesn't really know how to take advantage of it, so you can divide and conquer. For example, this helicopter that Emma gunned down didn't do a single thing before I blew it up.

Ryogo gets off one more devastating RoF I combo to wipe up a Jinyo in a single, extended attack. Ah, battle skill system, I will miss you, with your insane combos.

And the mission ends with Kazuki forcing Semaun to surrender. Well, this is now the third time that Kazuki is racing to stop MIDAS from being used on the rebel/DHZ fleet outside Batangas....is the third time the charm?

Nope. The seaplane still makes it to the fleet and still uses MIDAS. A fitting ending to this LP.
And that's it. LP over! Thanks to everyone who participated in the wanzer builds, and put up with this endless game.
