Part 49: Episode 45: These Few Brief Moments

After that day, I didnt see Yuuya in the infirmary, or even on campus. While I worried about him, I couldnt let that get in the way of my studies, and I was able to pass my finals with little trouble.

Winter break was an uneventful time. I was excited to see the new year come, however, because it was time for the New Years festival. I had my mind pretty well set on continuing with my arts studies after high school, so I got myself a charm for fulfillment in art.

Afterwards, I caught Mr. Nanaki by the fortune stand. He apparently ended up with a bad fortune this year, but the one I got looked good enough for me.
After that, I was ready to leave, but something caught my eye on the way out.
Wait, isnt that

Youre just as suspicious as always, Yuuya.

And so he sauntered off with a dashing wave. I guess he was in a hurry.
The music stops.

Before I knew it, winter break was over. With the end of winter break came the final semester. There was no formal testing this semester, so I felt rather at ease.

And before I knew it, it was already time for girls to pick out seeds for their Legumentines date.
I can't say I really know what's going on with Yuuya, but I've seen a different side to him than I think most of the other students have. I used to think that he was just a flirt, but he's a really sweet guy, and it's fun to talk to him. Do I... like him? I don't really know, but... I think so.
Well, if that's the case, I should buy him some beans. Someone as mature as Yuuya probably likes the more bitter flavors, so I picked up some black beans for him.

I want to go give Yuuya beans, but I dont even know if hes at school today.
I guess Ill have to call him!

He answered!

The music stops.
I was worried he might not show up, but as I reached our meeting place, I breathed a sigh of relief as I saw him there, waiting for me.

And so he disappeared into the night.
I cant say I have any more of an idea what hes up to than I ever do, but Im glad he liked the beans!
