Part 57: Day 277-280: Searching

Music: Sacred Moon

Like I said before, Curaga is pretty much useless. It's useful only in multiplayer to heal your "allies".

It's good to note that we won't actually be getting Aerora or Aeroga from missions or from the actual shop. We pretty much have to synthesize them. I'll probably do it later.

With Xion gone, all her extra work's beeen coming to me! I totally have zero time to find all the Heartless hiding in Mission 62! You know the drill: just go up to any fishy spots and examine them. Thanks, man!

Remember the mission to hunt the Carrier Ghost? The one with Heartless in special places without Zero to point us to them?

You found them all? Aw, you're a lifesaver, man! Thanks. So, uh...any chance I could also get you to take on this extra mission from Saix? Just check in with him when you're ready for it!
Ugh, why do they give this jobs to me, of all people?

Screw you, Demyx!

Have I mentioned that Demyx and Luxord are now pretty much finished with the plot? It's true! We have two more missions with Luxord, but those are optional with absolutely no dialogue.

The first mission is Wonderland's boss. The game's just finishing up the Disney worlds right now.

Ah, Deserters mission. I thought I'd never see another one.

Music: Rowdy Rumble

Slot Releaser. That's always useful.

The Ordeal Badge is in the back.

Barrier Master is really not a threat. Axel is actually useful here since Firaga will knock it off its book.

The Deserters, however, are actually a threat. This is what a hit from them does. Not that it matters since they don't respawn if we die. There's 16 of them in total.

Firaga is extremely useful here since its explosion hits a wide area. This makes Axel even more useful here. Good for you.

Just a normal Deserters mission. They're definitely not hard in the actual mission. In challenge mode though, they're a different story.

Going back, there's this actually new type of Heartless! Well, it's reused from KH1 but let's ignore that.

Invisibles can slash with its sword. It can also charge forward.

Its second attack is to rain down orbs. These orbs are actually time-elemental. It's hard to tell time and space elemental attacks.

Its most dangerous attack is living up to its name to be invisible and uses its (visible) sword to chase us around. Just use Dodge Roll to avoid it.

The dangerous part actually comes from the end of that attack when it becomes visible again.

Yep. That's why it's dangerous.

If we actually managed to use aerial combo on it after it reappears, we can avoid the shockwave AND stun it.

After it recovers, it will rain lightning on us. Thunder magic actually heals it, so don't use them.

Our only reward for beating it is a Gust Gem. Which is not worth it. Because we already have 14 of them.

I mean, we need 2 of them to make an Aerora and we'll need an Aerora to make an Aeroga, but I completed the game without using either so I don't need it. Which is why I don't bother fighting it.

I only bothered with it because I want to show Axel's Final Limit. That means I've shown all Limits we can see in the game (not counting the dead members, Saix, or Xemnas). If you're reading this from LParchive and wondering when I showed Demyx's, Xigbar's and Xaldin's, it's when I do the challenge missions.

Yep. I definitely didn't fight it.

See, no Gust Gem here!

you do, think fast.

This is the mission Demyx dumped on us.

Music: Rowdy Rumble

This is pretty much the same as the previous Dusk mission.

Just go to the corner and block the attacks from the 4 Dusks.

After a minute, 2 Samurai appear. That's nothing compared to that Dusk's face, though...

I haven't really mentioned what Samurai can do. Well, first, they can warp.

They can also do a combo that will pretty much kill Roxas even with Auto-Life. Yeah, they're not to be fucked with. The Samurai in the right is doing its combo, though it's kinda hard to tell.

The best way to survive now is to avoid the Samurai entirely, which we can do by gliding around. That Unity Badge is unreachable right now, sadly.

Music: Crossing the Finish Line

Fun fact: We can't get recipes from enemies. The only way to grind them is to hope we get more from random mission clear rewards.

Remember when I said we have 2 missions left with Luxord? This is one of them.

Thunder Recipe. I don't think I'm ever going to ever use it.

For the Heartless, we have Creepworms and Dual Blades.

Yes, Dual Blades. Plural. At the same time.

It's not as dangerous as it seems. We just need to knock them down and then use Blizzara on the face.

Just focus on one of them at a time. The other can't do enough damage to be dangerous.

Also, there's probably a high ground joke to be made there.

Luxord tried doing his Limit again, but he just stand here while the cards cycle through, basically dealing no damage. I don't know what happened

The dual blades are enough to just complete the mission. However, we need to collect more Hearts.

We can do that by hunting down and killing every single Creepworm here

It's easy, really. Even easier than last mission.

Oh, there's this guy too. It dies to Blizzara in the face like most enemies Fuck Leechgrave .

Time for another boss. Thankfully, it's nowhere near as bad as the last two.

Before that, though, I changed to Rage Gear+ since magic is pretty much useless for it. If you're reading from LPArchive and wondering when I got it, I made it in the challenge update. It has the highest strength, Combo Boost, and other abilities no one care about.

Ignore the Aeros. I ended up not using them at all.

Music: Welcome to Wonderland

Sorry, Cheshire Cat. Luxord pretty much has no dialogue anymore.

Look, did you have something to tell me? Because if not-
You might say I do, or you might say I don't. What do you say?
I say see you around. I've got work to do. I have to go. *walks past Cheshire Cat*
Ahh, but go where? To see the large shadow, perhaps?
There's a Heartless here?
Indeed, but to find this shadow you must scour the shade.

Thundara Recipe. Another point against Leechgrave is that there's no gauntlet before the actual boss. We just go to the next room, drink the shrink potion and that's it.

Boss: Crimson Prankster
New Music: Fight and Away

Like he said, the boss appears from the shadows.

It tosses its batons and then... Wait a minute... A Wonderland boss with batons...

Goddamnit, game! You didn't even bother recoloring Trick Master from its KH1 Final Mix!

In fact, without the video link you'd think that we'll be fighting another recycled KH1 boss.

However, this isn't Trickmaster, so it has a different gimmick. It's not 'Get up and hit it from above to stun it.'

No, the gimmick is that it can replicate itself!

So...yep. We'll be fighting two of them at the same time! It's still easier and faster than Leechgrave, though.

They have 3 attacks. The first is to create shockwaves.

The second is breathing fire.

And the third is spinning with fire. None of them deal a lot of damage.

While we're fighting Crimson Prankster, let me rant about Trickmaster a little bit.

Honestly, I hate Trickmaster. In all of them. Except KH1 since I never even got to that point.

I interrupt this rant to show these chests with Hi-Potion and Hi-Ether along with the Ordeal Blazon.

Anyway, as I was saying, Trickmaster sucks in KH Re:CoM because we play it on an rail shooters with multiple phases. Where we can only heal between them. Maybe I just suck, but I died there plenty of times.

In Re:CoM it can use cards with number 8. When we barely have 0 or 9 cards and very few sleight that can hit it. And do I really need to mention about Wonderland in Reverse/Rebirth?

We defeated one of them. Now we just have to defeat the other...

Um...

That smoke...don't tell me...

Screw you, Crimson Prankster!

The worst thing here is that they don't split the remaining HP. The second one flat out has the same HP as the one we didn't kill

The other problem here is that most magic can't reach it. Blizzara is pretty much useless and Aero is too fast to be reliable. Fire and Fira won't damage it. I probably could use Blizzard or Thunder, but Rage Gear+ has great aerial combo so it's not that bad.

Crimson Prankster won't destroy the table, but we can't stun it either.

Honestly, this boss is much better than Leechgrave or even Guard Armor. Even with the dick move, it's still faster than both of them.

For the record, I hate Guard Armor here even more than Leechgrave. At least for the boss itself. The gauntlet before Guard Armor is much faster than Leechgrave, which is why I prefer its mission overall.

Also, it has an Organization member fight in it.

Defeated, the Crimson Prankster drop its baton.

It also falls down.

Finally, it releases its heart. One more to add to the pile.

Video stops here
Music: Welcome to Wonderland

The shadow's no more-even it can't shine in the light.

So who are you, anyway? If you're going to help me, why talk in riddles? Are you a friend or an enemy?
Neither...or both... It's quite up to you.
Up to me?
Why, yes. Once you believe, the truth and lie are quite the same thing.
Let your heart decide-it's in your heart you must confide. *disappears*
Easy for him to say... How am I supposed to do that when I don't have a heart? I have no idea what to believe in.

You might have seen this earlier, but the Unity Badge is inside the fireplace. And that's basically the end of Wonderland's involvement in the plot. The only Disney world left is Neverland.

We still haven't fulfill our end of the bargain with Tink, have we?

We got Thundaga! I can actually be glad this time!
