Part 85: An Epilogue, of Sorts
Today I had yet another run-in with that blasted rabbit Niccolo.
You sound so eager to hear about him. Basically, he got hit on the head while gathering medicine for an illness someone rich had. The knock made him forget everything, which also meant he wasn't as much of a jerk as usual. He promised to get the medicine for free...except he hit his head again and regained his memories. Then he ended up obtaining the person's manor as payment. So overall, another ordinary day for Niccolo. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to find a real adventure.

...It's been a couple years, now, hasn't it? Hard to believe I've been having adventures for so long. Unfortunately, these past few months have been quite dull and adventure-free. Fortunately, it gives me ample time to work on a book I've been writing on my adventures. You know, I've been adventuring so long, I've almost forgotten my old love of books and history.
In fact, the only thing I really have left to do is to tie up a few loose ends. Where to start...
Domina, the cozy little town that started it all. In the end, not much has really changed, at least on the surface.
The tavern is so empty now, with "Rachel" quitting her job and Elazul and Pearl finding a permanent home. There is a peculiar visitor here at times with a penchant for odd parlor games, but I digress.
The new Rachel is fitting right in, and things are going better than ever with that family. In the end, everyone's happy.
Pee-Wee is looking to be a fine pet for Miss Yuka, though I think it could use a few battles to get it to shape. Probably not with me, though, as most of my pets tend to get severely injured when they travel with me. I don't know why.
What!? What is wrong with everyone! Speak some sense, please! I will not give up! I will go to the end of the world to catch her!
Boyd seems determined as ever to capture the jewel hunter. I have a feeling that he'll never give up the chase, as the hunt brings him more joy than anything else could.
The Diggers are still messed up. The less said about them, the better.
Meimei's fortunes still make no sense to me. I certainly hope she's not talking about Basket Fish. Ugh...
Capella and Diddle still perform in the park. I have a feeling Diddle's still mopey, but as long as he has Capella sticking by him, he'll be fine.
Even with Matilda's death, Gato hasn't changed a bit.
I'm sorry, I can't say it in any better way.
Seems like Daena is in charge of things for the time being, though that hasn't stopped her from wanting to adventure.
Lumina is still the same sleepy little city it's always been.
Could it be that you are trying to avoid your one true love?
It seems Monique had decided to leave her lamp shop. Gilbert, of course, is the same lovestruck fool as always. He'll find someone else to latch to eventually.
Polpota's still the same. Basket Fish is still working his debt off, Flameshe is still messing with the locals, and the penguins still enjoy their visits when they have leave from the SS Buccaneer. The crew is doing fine, though I haven't found much adventure on the ship myself.
As for Monique, she's decided to stay with Elle. I guess she wanted to make a clean break from Gilbert, considering how much she loved her lamp shop.
Sierra's still serving as Vadise's dragoon, while Larc hangs out near the Underworld, always looking forward to going into battle. It's what he was always best at.
Life is so strange.
As always, we wook forward to serving you.
Kristie and Sotherbee are still working, though now they work for Niccolo.
Niccolo is Niccolo. No amount of brain damage could ever quell his lust for Lucre.
Now that Sandra is gone, so is Alex's shop. I'm kinda surprised no one's ransacked the place yet. That said, I've no interest in the stuff myself.
So that leaves the Bejeweled City...
After the Jumi were revived, many took up residence in the city, including Elazul and Pearl. I hear Blackpearl even shows up once a week.
Reubens, Esmeralda, Diana, and Florina also all live there now. It's really nice that after all the horrible things they've went through, the Jumi have a new chance to find peace.
As for Marcie, I think I might've busted it up a bit too hard after a few battles. Maybe I'll tweak it later. I don't know, maybe I'm not cut out to have a pet, or a demi-human companion, or a golem. I just work better alone, I guess.
...I guess that's it. There's really no adventures left. I've kinda brought peace to all of this part of Fa'Diel, and I really have no desire to travel any farther. In the end, there's really only one thing left to see.
