The gargoyle queen, despite the infinitives, seems like a nice
enough... thing. I say we let... it live.
This is the
first answer, so we're breaking our tradition of slaughter and
annihilation and letting the Queen live.
The Gargoyle Queen's primary attack is to throw eggs and
rocks at AnBalsifier, which is roughly equivalent in damage to the Stone
spell.
Behind the Queen is her stash of Queen Eggs. We help
ourselves to one: not because we want to, but because we have to.
We then bravely run away, leaving the Queen to either
drown or starve because she's chained up and all of her children are dead.
The Guardian chooses this time to SCREAM INTO OUR SOUL,
saying:
: Are you sure that was a wise decision? : Avatar, why do you waste your time on these people? They are
not worth your efforts.
The Queen's treasure cache has another scroll of Crystal
Barrier, some Mana Breath and Mana Recovery potions, 267 gold and our
second Glass Sword.
Jumping into the teleporter affords us a hasty retreat
from the civilization we visited death upon.
