EDIT: OP, are you going to do any sidequest type things? I'd like to see what kind of things there are to do, now that you have the ship.

Hahaha, it's Ultima IX. You need the ship to do exactly 2 things, one of which we probably won't be able to do until after Spirituality.

There are 5 sidequests: The lighthouse gems, which we just need to install; the burning house, which we're done; the Paws mill valve, which we're done; and two other major side-quests that I'm saving until the endgame.

Out of curiosity, what happens if you give Blackthorn the lenses?

The screen fades to black and you are prompted to reload a previous save.

: Everyone knows that it is meaningless.
: What do you mean? This cup is the symbol of honor!
: Honor, huh? Maybe honor meant something a hundred years ago, but it doesn't mean much now. You sound just like the fellow who came around here the other day asking about the Paladins.
: He wouldn't stop talking about honor. I bet he's still over there at the inn talking everyone's ear off about honor.
: How do I place the sigil in the statue?
: Well, that's not the sigil, but to place it; you must set it at the foot of the statue. But I tell you, that isn't the Chalice of Honor. It's just a cup!
: I've got to go now.

Now, to put the honor into this chalice, we need to convince one of the townspeople to do something honorable. Let's go back to the bar and torture that girl until she agrees to get us really drunk. That should do it.

: It puts the lotion...
: What about that man that's staying in one of the rooms?
: Him? He was such a pest, I finally let him have a room. Besides, I'm charging him triple the cost of the room and he doesn't know it!

Sounds like this guy might have some good loot!

Damn, nothing. Maybe all of his stuff is at his house?

: I have a serious problem: phase spiders have found their way through the portal and are invading my home!
: I would close the portal myself, but only paladins are equipped to do so. My family fought for Trinsic long ago and was promised assistance in times of need, but no one will honor the debt.
: Please help convince one of the paladins to honor their word and help me.

If we agree to help him, maybe we can follow him to his house and loot it.

: I will seek help. At least one of the paladins must retain feelings of honor.
: Thank you, Avatar. I will return home and do what I can. When you find help, please meet me at my house. It's on the small island to the southeast of town.

There's only one paladin left...

And it's this asshole.

: I need the help of a paladin of Trinsic.
: I would like to help you, friend. I really would. I just don't know if I'm able to. I don't know if I am still a worthy paladin.
: Please, Lucero, I truly need your help.
: Oh, I don't know... I don't think that there's anything that I could do to help.
: You're right; you're not a paladin, you're a coward. Goodbye!
: A coward? No, I'm not a coward, I've merely lost my honor. You need a paladin. How can I be a paladin if I have lost that which gave me honor?
: Snap out of it, man! Your self-pity sickens me! I need your help now!
: You're right. I am riddled with self doubt; I sicken myself, but what can I do?
: Don't you see, Lucero? Nothing can give you honor except for yourself.
: I just don't know, I...
: Lucero! Listen to the Avatar, he speaks the truth! Honor is not an outward symbol, it comes only from within.
: Look inside your heart and you will find that you have lost nothing.
: By heavens, Dupre's ghost! How can that be unless it is the absolute truth?!
: What need do you have of me? What can I do to help?
: A portal has opened near Virgil's house and phase spiders have been pouring through it. I need you to seal that portal. Can you do it?
: I can and will. I have sat idly by for far too long. I will arm myself and meet you at the unfortunate man's house.

A phase spider appears about once every 20 seconds. We kill them in less than 4.

After a couple of minutes this giant phase spider appears. It takes a sound beating.

: Is this the Avatar?
: It is.
: I have suffered a mortal wound, my friend, and I feel my strength draining away.
: But my spirit shall rest peacefully, for you have restored honor to the hearts of the people of my beloved Trinsic.
: It is you who brought honor.
: Please friend, tell my wife that I love her, and that I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. Honor demanded my actions, she'll understand that.
: Tell her that I'll await her on the other side.
: I could speed that up for you if you want.

: ...Lucero? Ah well.
: Thank you both. Your bravery and honor are unmatched. It is a tragedy to see what has befallen Lucero, but the tale of his deeds will live on.

Gratitude isn't enough.

Before we leave the island, we go around to the back of the house.

Behind it is a cave.

Inside is a scroll of Ring of Fire....

...and the Britannian Star. Just like the Gem of Death, it increases our attack damage as long as it's kept in our inventory.

When we return to Trinsic, the Chalice becomes the Chalice of Honor.

One last thing to do.

Two more to go!
