: Yes, taking someone's money and not fulfilling a commitment is
not honorable and I most surely would never do such a thing.
: That's why I want to make amends. I've made your sword, and I
want to refund 2,000 gold pieces as a way of saying that I'm
sorry.
: Thank you Rupert.
: No, thank you Avatar. Thank you for bringing honor back to
Trinsic. Well, now that's done, is there anything else that you
need?
: No. Goodbye.
We got the Blackrock sword, the most powerful sword in
the game.
Now we get to take our little frigate out for a
sail.
There are some ruins underwater.
Off to the left and right in the main passageway are some
spike traps. Jumping across them leads to a chest.
The chest casts Fireball on us when it's opened. Inside
is a key.
: Where am I?
: It's not a surprise; they are highly overrated. You will find
that I, however, am far more formidable than they.
: Leave or stay Avatar, it matters not to me. Only know that if
you stay, you die.
: Who are you?
: I am Groldek, the arch-mage. My magical abilities far surpass
any you've encountered before, Avatar. If you are wise, you will turn and
leave immediately.
: Your days are at an end, swine!
: I had rather hoped that you would choose to stay. Now I may
test your skills before I kill you. Oh, Avatar, your pain is going to be
exquisite.
Groldek normally hides up on his little ledge piffing
magical spells at us. The water down below rapidly drains our health. It's
supposed to deter us from doing what we're going to do or
something.
Groldek is a scrub and dies in 2 hits. Killing him makes
a hidden passage appear.
Behind him are the Blackrock Boots, which is the second
piece of the ultimate armor (and the first we've obtained legitimately
)
In the water, next to the ramp out, is another unique
scroll: Teleport.
: What is your name, my lady?
: I am Lyssa, protector of the Bell of Courage.
: You need a worthy protector for the bell?
: Yes, though I am skilled with a sword, and would have fought
the arch-mage if he made his way in here, I fear that I would stand little
chance against such a foe.
: You, however, are skilled in both weaponry and magic and are a
better protector of the bell than I.
: Please, take the bell and keep it safe from evil. It may help
you as well, as it is a powerful token of good.
: Is the Bell of Courage in here?
: Oh, yes indeed. This has been the resting-place of the bell for
many years.
: Wait... this is Serpent's Hold?
: It was quite an in[NOTE: I AM TOO STUPID TO SPELL THE WORD
"GENIUS" CORRECTLY] [sic] system of protection: when the evil arch-mage
neared the Bell Room, the retaining wall came down, thus sealing off the
room.
: The other protectors fled as the evil approached, but I chose
to stay and defend the Bell.
: Goodbye.
: Don't forget to take the bell with you.
: Thank you, Lyssa.
