Part 15: Meanwhile, in other timelines…

If we avoided training Li on the mountain top, we miss out on the scene where she gets worn out. From there, things continue as normal until the Master returns from drubbing the Tiger King.
I had a bit of debate on whether to show the entirety of one route first, or both versions of a specific scene one after the other. I settled on the former; so let’s take a look at how choosing Yuan plays out.
Yuan’s route

This time, we hear a sound after looking at the other students.

-------

Things continue basically as normal for the next few scenes.

This time though, we bust into the Yi Po Men dojo alone.

Our next change starts right about here.

And of course, there are less guys to fight because Yuan cutscene-ganked four of them.

Yuan himself is far less capable than Li at this stage, but he’ll manage.

Because of his starting level, the Master’s counter move comes at level 8; that means we actually get to see the first of his new moves, since he hits level 9 right before Odi’s table of goons.

Speaking of, Yuan has a slightly different line when Odi claims to dislike unfair situations.

The room of minions is mostly the same. Yuan makes good use of his new diagonal-aimed, IQ-based tech.

Things are a tiiiiny bit rougher this time around. Yuan’s still in his ‘made of tissue paper’ phase.
-------

Alright, let’s skip ahead to the interesting stuff.

*Flashback!*

And of course, the Master prepares to kill both assassins hardcore again…

And of course, you know where things go from here!
-------

The fight against Odi is much the same, except considerably longer. Yuan’s DongShouDao does only 50-60 damage, whereas Li was managing to do double that consistently.
-------

-------

And we reach yet another ending. Now let’s take a look at the third and final student, Sammo.
-------
Sammo’s route

-------

Again, no real changes until we actually get to the dojo. But I find it interesting that Yuan ran and hid, Sammo tried to fight but ended up running, and Li just straight up fought until she got beat down.

When we get there, though… Something very different is happening.

...Well, that was certainly something. That man’s expression was awfully familiar though.

Alright, back to business as usual. Note that Sammo hasn’t shown up yet.

In fact, the Master has to go through most of the dojo alone.

It isn’t until the room with the breakable table that things change.

Then suddenly, the screen shakes…

Sammo won’t hit level 9 until partway through Odi’s party table, but his high HP makes him more valuable than Yuan for the moment.

Yes, yes. Let’s move on.

Now that’s a little more like it. Lion Hand works decently for Sammo.

*Flashback! Again!*

-------

Aside from being able to put the Fukahire Buns to good use, Sammo’s fight is much the same as the others. He’s got an easier time of it than Yuan, but Li kills Odi much faster than either of them.
-------

-------

-------

And so that concludes the stories of all three students. Soon we’ll be moving on to another story… I hope you’ve enjoyed what we’ve seen so far, and that you’ll all enjoy what’s still to come!

Time for more official remixes~
Turns out there was another remix from this chapter, it just took some doing to find it.
Battle SQ: War in China/Bird Flies, Fish Swims
(There are a couple more LaL mixes on the album, but one's from a chapter we haven't hit yet and the other's a megamix. There's also hardly any uploads from this one, so tracking them down might be a bit of a pain.)
That out of the way, a couple of non-chapter-specific themes:
More SQ: MEGALOMANIA
Chill SQ: WARM A LIVE
