Part 21: Episode 5, Battle ship night mare
hello again everyone! It's wonderful to see you after all this time. We're really, really sorry for the huge delay but, well, these things happen sometimes. After a particularly long weekend of extra technical monstrosities (my internet died a thousand times), we're finally able to bring you a thingymabob. Enjoy thingymabob!Hey! Before we go any further, I've gotta say an enormous thanks to a few people for helping with this update. PopularEnergyDrink is wonderful and attractive and has very nice hair and pulled our arses out of the fire a little bit by making the lovely picture you see above--thanks ever so much! Also, my fondest regards go out to an up-and-coming LPer you might not have heard of, "General Ironicus", for lending us his voice for a bit. dirtysammiches did too, but you recognised him straight off the bat, right? Thought so. Awfully good of him to find time to help us out.

After powering through LP Mercs 2 I suddenly found the space where the vikings went to and want to space like vikings too! (I am okay with making year-old references because the LP is still fresh in my mind, so it is new to me.) So I bought a copy for Xbox for Windows LIVE. Unfortunately none of my friends followed suit but at least the single-player is not as horrid as I was led to believe. It's still horrid, though, just not as bad as I thought it would be. I have all these sparkly emotes and nobody to inflict them on.
I'm going to see if I can't get all my friends to let me gift LP2 to them and if I can't wrangle them into playing. This time I will be the grizzled old veteran and have all the cool things while they're working with the default weapons, not like that time my friends all got God Eater before I did and one guy got to the DLC content while I was still in difficulty 7. That jerk. Anywho for some reason I had enough free time to buy everything in the 2000-bucks slot machine in the span of two days and have already gotten to the 10,000-bucks slot machine. I just really want to shoot parties at people, I guess.
This is all a pretty long-winded way of saying your LPs are fantastic and can cause people to suddenly buy games that reviewers explicitly told them not to.
EDIT: Also, er, good luck on reclaiming your Lost Prizes. And condolences.
Hello! Glad you could join us. I'm glad you're enjoying it!
The game is certainly not unplayable on your own now, yeah--I still do it from time to time--but that's because they patched it to be a lot easier! These days when you play the game on your own you get a massive boost to all of your stats (most importantly attack power) and the enemies are a little bit weaker in a variety of quite useful ways which all contribute to making it a little more playable. Most of the levels are now actually really quite playable, with the exception of some of the setpieces being fundamentally not designed for one person.
Before, though? Oooh, it was rough before. That's the version all the reviewers played, too. Whoops!
